As far as I know the Meenas and Gujjars have significant population. As a result they have strong political clout. I see so many Meenas in IAS, IPS and in judiciary. Why are Meenas and Gujjars even considered as ST? They should be moved out of the reservation quoto altogther. Let the ppor and exploited people avail reservations. People who are already enpowered are availing reservation generation after generation and the people who are truly poor, exploited and in minority (in terms of their population) are not getting a chance to use them. And BTW stop calling Muslims and Sikhs as minority. They are a majortity and their population exceeds that of most caste groups.
