Who is Musharraf to discusson on Kashmir issue?
by aryan on Feb 03, 2007 10:39 AM  Permalink

Who is Musharraft to discussn on Kashmir issue. Kashmir is part of India and it will remain. Insha Allah.

Also dont understand who are Hurriyat leaders? ""Apne ghar ke baath neighbour ko solve karne wale Gadar kahelte hain"". Hurriyat leaders are traitor.

Indian goverment should not enterain this kind of meeting.

Tommorow some other party will go and start discussing with Bangladesh to solve Assam problem.

Are we incapable? What is Hurriyat trying to prove.

Musharaffs frustration
by shah on Feb 03, 2007 12:10 AM  Permalink

Musharaf is frustrated by the pressure of USA and other western countries ,. also he is not intrested what should be with Pakistan and the people of Pakistan and Kashmir. He is the one who once make himself on high profile by the illusion of Kargil war. why should one trust him. one who is not intrested his religion , who will trust him.

Musharraf is an extremely intriguing character. His history with the Pak military certainly has me wary of him, along with his actions in toppling Sharif. He is however trying to do something for his country. Yet, he does have clandestine relations with the fanatics whom he still harbors. I don't know if he believes and supports their cause, or that he wants to appease his people.
One thing is for certain... he is MORE POLITICIAN THAN A GENERAL and that may actually benifit Pakistan in the long run. For now, we must go along with the peace process because it is beneficial to us. Complacency however would be a mistake. In this relative lull, we have to build up our intelligence system and make them competent enough to counter the ISI (who sadly are out performing us right now).

Mush is scared for his own life.. what ever he is doing today is because he wants a safe and secure future for himself. If he keeps supporting militancy in Afghan and Kashmir, he is making US its enemy. If he goes against them, the militants, his ISI and his own army would kill him. He is trapped in his own game today%u2026 military power of Pakistan can bail them out of this situation. The only option for Pak is to hold general election and Mr. Mush will quietly transfer all the blames and misadventures and failures to the newly elected government and will make his future safe as president of Pakistan till he dies%u2026

This is his whole and sole aim to steer himself clear and safe out of all this mess%u2026 he is not interested in what happens to Pak or Kashmir or Afghan%u2026he is platting a background for the coming elections this year in Pakistan.

Militancy has made Kashmir a troublesome place !!!
by Mahesh Nayathil on Feb 02, 2007 08:41 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Long back thje muslamans from arbic came that is babar and conquered the north india and made delhi the capital agra redfort taj mahal etc.. In kashmir it was a wonderful place to see with tourist coming form all over the world to have a boating in the lake etc.. Now there is no tourists and dal lake is not in a good shape.. How will you work if you have a sword hanging above your head.. Also how will you live if there is a gun blushing over your forehead.. There are plenty of muslims and hinduis in kashmirs.. Announce peaceful programs on TV and radio and the police and army should be gentle to the public.. Both police and terroristy can kill rich business men in the name of war and steal their belongings..Announce ALLAHU AKBAR ALAHINDULILL RASULULLAH ansd ragupathi raghava rajaram and patheesa pawana seetha ram in the public plcae.. Make posters of Hindu God and Muhammad nabi and a script of INSHALLAH in Urdu in the public places..
Why should kashmir be free.. 30% is in Pajkisthan and 70% in India Similarly 50% punjab is in Pakisthan and 50% in India.. if kashmir becomes free there will be a great price rice in Kashmir as the food grains like wheat and rice dont grow there.. Also in India applee prices will be hikes.. The terrorists should do conmstructive work..
Is it like that Parvez bhai..
the tension in life should disappear into thin air..
God is a philosophy dont fight in the name of GOD Allah or Krishna or Christ

Religion should be kept out of this entire mess. Dr. APJ Kalam has the right idea. Infuse the economy into Kashmir. Show the Kashmiris that it is beneficial for them to live as Indians based on the privileges and opportunity they will have access to. Kashmir has the potential to become one of the worlds best tourism center along with an agricultural powerhouse. But for both of these things to realistically happen, they need to align themselves with India inc.
Infuse the economy and the militancy will die out.

Hats off to various ideas that pollute the mind of the General. He is trying to catch his left ear with his right hand from behind his head. He can be a wonderful Script writer. Replacement to Sidney Sheldon probably. Movies made out of his stories/deas will do much better than Harry Patter. For all we know he may be writing another book. Kudos to his ideas and stories.

but there is a difference this time Salim. don't ever imagine these are his words. He is being compelled by USA thru CIA to take this approach, or atleast say so. USA govt in turn is run by the tremendously powerful and wealthy Wall St banks and other US mega corps, almost all of which are owned/run by Jewish people - hence the Israel connection. This is Israel thru USA forcing Musharraf to cough if these words - howmuch ever it may be to his dislike. Otherwise there is not reason for these genmtlemen to 'realize' something after same being told by India for the last 60 years; and now suddenly he comes to realization. Nothing would have changed if US would not be taking interest in this politics for it's own benefit. This is not because of peace in Kashmir or goodwill towards India; this is because of pressure from the Big Boss and his now famous War on Terror. So I totally agree with you..beware India !

I honestly doubt the magnitude of this conspiracy. Sure there is a US involvement, but it certainly isn't as advanced as per your post. Honestly, as an American I can assure you that our executive branch and foreign affairs bodies really don't know that much about the world (yes, scary as hell, I know).
To tell you the truth, Musharraf himself may have come to relize the futility of this war. Think about it. Compare the economies and progression of the two nations. If things continue as they are, India will certainly be a frontrunner within the developing nations in the next decade. Pakistan for all purposes is already a failed state merely propped by billions of donated US dollars thanks to American taxpayers like me. This difference between the two countries will only continue to grow at an exponential rate if Pak does not improve relations with India and hitch its wagon to the Indian rising star. Point being, this move is downright essential to the survival of Pakistan.

Militancy won't solve Kashmir issue: Musharraf
by Bharatgas, Srikakulam on Feb 02, 2007 07:49 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The Pak President seems to have been successfully persuaded by USA to be realistic. We must strengthen his hands and let the opportunity not pass. At this rate Musharraf will be hot for the next Noble for peace. We should not hesitate to extend concessions. The future the children of India and Pak is more important than our ego. What India and Pak together cannot do in this world ?

I agree. However caution is a must. Although Musharraf is trying to something beneficial to his own country, we cannot look beyond the bleak reality that Pakistan has a sizeable fundamentalist population and is the worlds biggest logistical base of sophisticated organized terror.
So although I support these confidence building measures with Pakistan, I would warn agains complacency, because that could deliver a fatal blow to us. I also say this because of our torrid history with complacency and ineptitude with sensitive diplomatic issues.
