I wanted to mail this to rediff but was not able to do so.. thought of posting it here..
Pls read the below mail. Whoever sent to me is 101%right. Read it and kindly forward it to as many Indians as possible.Let us at least publicize this news, which our famed media failed to do.
"Major Manish H Pitambare, we are really proud of you. We salute your braveness which will make us live in peace in the future."
It's a pity that our Nations TV Channels don't know what to prioritize? May be the Public (only few) wants JUICY / SPICY news about Bollywood. Now a days (even after three days) media is covering only one news that is "Ash - Abhishek pre-engagement Ceremony". What they are doing? How they feel after engagement? We have seen (several times) Bachchan pariwar visiting to all temples (throughout India) wishing for happy married life of Ash & Abhi. But then what about. . . .
The body of Major Manish Pitambare, who was shot dead at Anantnag, was cremated with full military honours at Thane on Wednesday.
On Tuesday a news swept across all the news channels 'Sanjay Datt relieved by the court'. 'Sirf Munna Not a bhai' '13 saal ka vanvaas khatam''alhough found guilty for possession of armory, Sanjay can breath sigh of relief as all the TADA charges against him are withdrawn'
And then many experts like Salman khan saying 'He is a good person. We knew he will come out clean' Mr. Big B 'Datt family and our family have relations for years he's a good kid. He is like elder brother to abhishek'.His sister priya Datt 'we can sleep well tonight.it's a great relief'
In other news, Parliament was mad at Indian team for performing bad; Greg chapel said something ...; Bomb scare in gorakhpoor express; and Shah Rukh Khan replaces Big B in KBC and Sonia asked PM to consider reducing petroleum prices (I wonder who's the PM .anyways that is not the topic so leave it.) But most of the emphasis was given on Sanjay Datt's "phoenix like" comeback from the ashes of terrorist charges.
Surfing through the channels, one news on BBC startled me, it read, Hisbul Mujahidin's Most wanted terrorist 'Sohel Faisal' killed in anantnag, India. Indian Major leading the operation lost his life in the process. Four others are injured.
It was past midnight, I started visiting the Indian NEWS channels, the ones who are 'Sabse TEZ', but Sanjubaba was still ruling. They were telling How Sanjubaba pleaded to the court saying 'I am the sole bread earner for my family' 'I have a daughter who is studying in US who will look after her'. And then they showed how sanjubaba was not wearing his lucky blue shirt while he was hearing the verdict. Also how he went to every temple and prayed for last some months. A suspect in Mumbai bomb blasts, convicted under armory act...was being made into a hero.
Sure Sanjubaba has a daughter; sure sanjubaba did not do any terrorist thing as in bombing some place or hijacking an airplane etc.Possessing an AK47 is considered too elementary in terrorist community and also one who possesses an AK47 has a right to possess a pistol so that again is not such a big crime; Sure sanjubaba went to all the temples; Sure he did a lot of gandhigiri but then...,
Major Manish H Pitambare got the information from his sources about the terrorists' whereabouts. Wasting no time he attacked the camp killed the Hisbul mujahidin's suprimo and in the process lost his life... To the bullets fired from an AK47..
He has a wife and a daughter (just like sanjubaba), age ...18 months.
Major Manish never said 'I have a daughter'before he took the decision to attack the terrorist hide out in the darkest of nights?
He never thought about having a family and he being the bread earner.
No news channel covered this since they were too busy hyping %u2026%u2026%u2026%u2026%u2026an actor in real and reel life, a suspect who's linked to bomb blasts which killed hundreds. Their aim was to show how he defied the TADA charges and they were so successful that his conviction in possession of armory had no meaning. They also concluded that his parents in heaven must be happy and proud of him..
Parents of Major Pitambare are still on this earth and they have to live rest of their lives without their beloved son. His daughter won't ever see her papa again.
Finally, to my generation there is no greater hero than one who laid his life in the name of this great nation.
We really proud of you Late. Major Pitambare.
At last: Does anybody take the initiative and convey to all these media persons that you cover all news be it..XY's engagement, XY's dadgiri and Gandhigiri%u2026.but it has some limits, It's not that you just keep on showing only these things all the day and night. There are other plenty of topics to share with our people. Please, we know that you (media) are playing very very important role for the success of our great Democratic nation and without your quality work we cannot progress further%u2026. Kindly take a note of this !!!!
its really a matter of shame for all us indians that an innocent person is killed in a fake encounter n later branded as a foriegn militant..its not a single case ,thr r thousands of such cases but luckily for the kashmiris ,this one backfired on d army and its a slap on d face of indian army, who kill civilians for rewards n promotions...bcoz thr is no one to question them,,.they hv been given a freehand to kill anyone .. wake up india wake up,,its high time u realise that kashmiris r suffering and indian media, shame on u...u never highlight d actual brutalities inflicted on the civilians in kashmir...at abt d tourist attacks????didnt d civilians hand over d attacker to d police ..he was an indian agent n confessed before everyone that he was used by india n later d indian media told ppl that it was d handiwork of militants...SHAME SHAME SHAME on u MEDIA...

Listen you ????.. If you were in the Indian Army and posted in such a place where you don't know from the coming people how many are millitants you have to fire for the sake of your own life.. because you are sure that there are millitants in between them. so if you don't do this its certain that an innocent Army person (might be you) is going to die without any media coverage.. but if you fire then there are chances that the Millitant is going to die. It might sometime it turns an innocent citizen because there are always exception.. In all over the world there is no ARMY which has all the gentleman there.. some people always has bad intensions.. and You should glad that Indian Army has a very low percentage of such kind of persons. Again the question is how the hell millitants are in between citizens.. people should keep them out for the sake of their life and our Army people life, I am very glad that it was a survival of an innocent country MAN... I LOVE MY INDIA..

Only the family & near ones of the innocent person killed in fake encounter can feel the pain while those like deepak and hemant cant even think about it.It isnt the only case where an innocent has been killed. There are thousands of innocents been killed so far.And let me tell you that militants are not born by birth. Its cases like these where an innocent man or whole family is wiped out.If it was militancy, why did India take the matter to UN where resolutions were passed which were vetoed by russia. This veto power is misused even today by the so called super powers of the world. The Indian Prime Minister would not have promised for a plebiscite if it was a case of militancy. The modern day media never give a true picture. Its expert in corrupting the mind of the people by giving biased news and a common man who doesnt know about the background of the problem is an easy prey to such news. But when truth is put against falsehood, falsehood perishes because falsehood by its nature is bound to perish.

You are right. people like YAsir cannot understand the pain of family memebers of indian soldiers dying in J&K. You say militants are not born by birth so you think Armymen are born perfect that they will not make mistakes? Can you explain why the "local" militant org like JKLF is dead today and all militancy is pretty much handiwork of ISI backed groups from across. The fact is common kashmiri may have complaints but they know India is much better than Pakistan and they will have freedom here in Hindu majority while they will become another baloch or gilgit in pakistan!
UN!! Who cares about that extinct entity, it has no meaning in today's security environment.

so u r justifying the innocent killings.getting killed in a cross fire which can be called a mistake is one thing and catching hold of an innocent person and torturing him to death is another.i wonder is this can also be called a mistake. And u dont make mistakes in hundreds and thousands. Armymen are also humans but they cant take advantage of the dracolian laws where they can arrest anyone, anywhere and kill him in cold blood. The exhumation process going on these days will reveal it all. By the way kashmir problem isnt a hindu muslim conflict as u see it.Its being projected so by the media.

SHame on you Basit latif, This killing was done by J K Police's special task force. The police is made up mostly of people from kashmir and rest form the rest fo the state.
Army might have had some corrupt bad incidents, but it still is the force with the best intentions in kasmir and that is to fight the militants which are practically distroying kashmir.
Militancy finishes, and army will leave. The cause and effect relation ship is -> Army went in because of militancy not the other way round as people like you will have the rest of teh world to believe.
