hahahah..its funny you noted karunanithi's rational and progressive beliefs as funny. Look to europe and UK, boy....you will find the most progressive states are all getting rational in their beliefs, which MK was having in 1960's..all european nations are christian only on the ouside, but inside the country they promote no religion.
MK is far ahead in his thinking than any other politician in India. Just for example look at the progress of TN nd other states in your north India. You might be forgiven to think TN is a decade ahead of the rest in governance and progress.

Mr. Sivaprasad, I challenge Mr. MK or any other DK/DMK leader to publicly state that Allah does not exist. The progressive beliefs & anti-religious beliefs they exhibit is not universal. I remember your dear CM celebrating some Muslim festival shamelessly. In the name of secularism, these pseudo-progressive thinkers divide the country for vote banks. Wake up, Mr. Sivaprasad.
I do not know and therefore, will abstain from commenting about progress in TN because of His (who else, but MK) presence.

What nonsense? DMK is not an atheist party. It was founded by Aringar Anna who was not an atheist ( big diff. between Anna and Periyar ). DMK believes in progress,social reform and fostering tamil culture - all of which the Brahmins oppose. That is why the Brahmins have been badmouthing DMK from the beginning. Go read some history.

I am not a die hard fan of him... but I feel he is better than Jaya( she is also done damages to Hindu/Hinduism ). The one thing I hate with Karuna is they are against Hindu/Hinduism.... but hope they are just showing this for world just for attract votes. Being we hindus the majority and beeing not united politicians go to minorities who are united, and if we are united may be Karuna also show support towards hindu. Infact, in this case I love Modi...

Thats fine. Why can't he extends his support to Taslima? Why he didn't put his son Alagiri behind bars for his attrocities in madurai which killed 7 people and created a damage of 2 crores to the public property?

FYI - I am not defending Thiru. Karunanidhi or DMK although I have great respect for both. Political compulsions and personal ambition dictate course of action. I generally deplore the state of TN politics as it is today. But, I defend the dravidian movement. The movement was necessary to liberate the non-brahmin masses from the stranglehold of the brahmins and give the non-brahmins a distinct political,cultural, social and religious identity. What I hate is people using Karunanidhi or DMK or some other politician to disparage the Dravidian movement as a whole. There have been countless Dravidianists who have worked selflessly to promote Thamizh and defend Dravidian civilization and culture. WE MUST NEVER FORGET THAT! Aringar Anna gave us the wonderful motto - Kadamai, Kanniyam, Kattupadu - Duty, Honory and Discipline. I wish the current crop of Dravidian politicans follow these principles. Alas, many of them don't. That is just human weakness. But, the movement as a whole is not to blame. It was a noble and necessary movement. And as long as there are committed and devoted people left to carry on the mantle the movement will continue. Dravidam vAzhga. Dravidan inam valarga. Parppaneeyam adiyodu verodu ozhiga. "Strangehold of Brahmins" - where are you man....? Are you in 2nd century BC....? Can you show any Brahmin following Untouchability now....? The whole nation went against them after Ambedkar. Their hands are tied now. They are given least priority in every field - education, jobs, loans... etc... etc... The only problem we have now is the minority appeasement which is far worse than "BRAHMINISM". "Dravidism" was started long back for the well being of people. Not for the well being of one person. Understand that. And also, dont get too much immersed in sentiments for Tamil. Tamil dhan enakum thai mozhi. Language - its just a mode of communication. The last four lines what ever you have blabbered, can you go and advise the same to the people living in streets....? How many tamilians are speaking Tamil now...? Does Tamil sounds like Tamil in our Tamilian's voice....? Dont show your "visuvasam" to language. Show them to the people of this country. Ramadoss - who talks about tamil have burnt the busses and killed innocents in the name of caste. What does it mean....? THIS MEANS NOTHING. Every Indian should have the devotion to the nation, to this country, to our culture. Dont waste your energy for supporting "Dravidians" who are the real devils. DK - Dravida Kazhagam publicly insults Hindu Gods. Do they have the guts to do the same against Mohammad or Jesus....? Dravidan means - athiest. Your athiesm means only for Hindus. Anyway, my best wishes to Stalin though. He needs more of his fathers rational belief to sutain in the dravida politics. After all, he is not the successor of an "ordinary" party. Dravidians are looking upto him. He should lead the people with the ideals of Periyar.

Karuna may be corrupted but 80% of TN backward people developed. The water straved state one of the top vegetable/agro producer and moreover most of major industries developed in his rule only. TN backward people is well forward in education and economic front compare to other state. 80% of People social life improved enough to state as well as India improve. He is still developing backward and downdrowned people of TN. Also recent servey says DMK is still top in tamil nadu

Yes. All backward people are developed. What about the OC category people....? Not only Brahmins comes into the category. All minority caste people come into this category. You provide jobs for the caste oriented people and make up your collars to tell that "80%" of people are developed. I wonder where you get these information. Reservation is not going to the concerned people. If that is the case, the reservation is provided in our country since Independence. All the backwarded people should have got the better life status now. Only people having political background gain from this. Also, I dont want to argue much as you will never accept the fact. I would like to tell somethings. If you see the discrimination rate in all religion, hindu is making all atrocity, untouchbility etc. Periyar criticized all religion which supporting all backwards. Later he concentrated only on Hindus, because he has born as a Hindu... he has faced many incidents like ambedkar... they told the truth which brammins are not liking... periyar struggled for the uplifement of BC, OBC.
