1984 was a blot in the name of Congress - they have tried to make amends and justice cannot be done till the culprits are hanged. Unfortunately - most of the culprits are just dying of old age before they could be brought to justice.
Modi similarly will have to live with stigma of Gujarat. He can remain the badshah of Gujarat but that is where he will remain because the sword is always hanging over him to survive at national level.

I know a Muslim lady who personally has decided never to go for Hajj since she is financially backward.She belives she is not doing anything wrong before God ,but not doing Hajj even once during her lifetime.She thinks it is disgusting to see the rich (many politicians too) performing Hajj many times,sometimes every year.
India Govt shouldn't give subsidies,but only arrange for amneties for the pilgrims.

True Mr. An Indian, Subsidy for Haz should be stopped immediately. In fact it should be collected back by force from those who have taken it so far. In case of death the Wakf Board should pay it back on behalf of them. Minority status should also be revised. But one should not vote for Modi Bhai. Keshu Bhai is bettr choice.

The Centre today ruled out any cut in the subsidy extended to Haj pilgrims and said arrangements had been put in place for 1.2 lakh Haj pilgrims this year.
The first flight, carrying 7,500 Haj pilgrims will be flagged off from Lucknow tomorrow. Union Civil Aviation Minister Shahnawaz Hussain will be the chief guest on the occasion, while Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Lalji Tandon will preside over the function.
For the convenience of Haj pilgrims, the Centre has decided to operate flights from two more airports %u2014 Nagpur and Gaya %u2014 Civil Aviation Minister Hussain told The Tribune here. The other airports from where special flights will be operated are Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Srinagar.
%u201CIn all 38 return flights will be operated, four more than last year at a total fare subsidy of Rs 163 crore,%u201D Mr Shahanvaz Hussain said, adding %u201Cthis subsidy is 16 times more than what the Congress government had extended in 1994.%u201D
Ruling out any move to cut the Haj subsidy, the Minister said despite a threefold increase in the international airfare, the government had decided to provide return ticket at the rate of Rs 12,000 per pilgrim, which entails a subsidy of Rs 23,300 per passenger.
