Some people beleive that Islam is the best religion but Muslims are worst people. I don't understand if the religion is good how can it's followers be bad ? Or is it true that all bad people have joined Islam ???

Women should represent
by Madhu Shetty on Dec 03, 2007 06:27 PM  Permalink

Guys

Stop nagging on narrow minded perceptions. Women representation is all forms irrespective of relegion, creed, cast and region, is always good for the human race.

Its very good to see all the scholars making it so big to the Pakistan public about this. I wish that land is flurish with fortune with abundant women folk representation to the national parliment.

In India the core representation to the vote bank is misarably missing. We have to have atleast minimum qulaifying % of votes to say a specific constitution voting is 'All clear'. Else Election commision should run a re-election until that constitution complies that qualitfyibg % of votes.

A fine good step for the future
by yousef aslam on Dec 03, 2007 06:20 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It is a good step from Scholars of Pakistan.

Lets interpret Quran for the current age, in the right spirit.

Like any other field of knowledge, Religion also require reformation to suit changing ages.Quran should not be an exception from this process.

Ultimately what matters is ones personal choice when it comes to spirituality. It is a personal matter between an individual and almighty. It does not require codes or conducts or any procedures to follow blindly.

What matters is the content. Its nothing but peace and love for the coexistence of mankind.

Women In Hindu
by Naradmuni on Dec 03, 2007 06:16 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Women in Hindus have no respect. Even the staunch supporter of Hindutva & iron Man of BJP realised it off late and allowed his niece to marry with a Muslim. Also he called Jinnah as secular as he knew that all fanatic hindu leaders like him are pseudo-nationalists

If one were to make an opinion and judgement with only one example out of the billions of people and if there were a contest on this .. you would probably win... or maybe lose that too...
How mature can one be when he takes on tolerance with intolerance and love with hate?
Grow up because naradmuni was epitome of knowledge and not of ignorance as you are...and also choose an example which is of common man rather than politicians.

Do not talk about Stupid Feminist Taslima
by Rash on Dec 03, 2007 06:16 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Taslima is giving hatred statements and actions against Islam, I doubt did she ever read quran precisely..
Islam grants the right of freedom of thought and expression on the condition that it should be used to propagate virtue and truth, not to spread evil and wickedness. Further, no one has the right to use abusive or offensive language in the name of criticism. In fact, the citizen not only has the right of freedom of expression in order to propagate virtue, but also the duty to propagate virtue and stop the spread of evil.

Who wants you to read Quran ? you dont deserve it. Only learned and morally educated persons who wants to know truth only should read.
In fact thats the way why Islam is growing in all the educated societies of Ameria, Europe etc...Cause they do read and research on it....Not like misguided by RSS VHP man...Hv guts, do true research. I am afraid you will be a muslim. As more than 90% of educated people doing research in Quran and Islam became Muslims (though they were stunch enemy of Islam earlier)....

I told you in my previous statement also that the best thing is not to judge religion by its followers - judge it by its religious books. There are few bad elements in all religions.

the quran
by bowler on Dec 03, 2007 06:16 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

the holy quran was a book written in the best of intentions which were relevant at that time as it is today.
the muslim women have been given a good status from where they where if you can read through the history and find out the time during which quran was written.
One of the concerns expressed by many is the rigidity of this religion and its intolerance. obvoisly the same has been showered on it by the others .But that makes two of them.
Again, one has to understand that this is only the small minority on both sides. The only problem lies when branding of people occurs.
If one were to study deeply , the quran has so much of common things to say that the other religios books also do.
the rights of the muslim women is something that the quran endorsed and the step taken in pakistan is definitely in the right direction . About the ones who have hatred.. let god bless them too...for they arent able to see beyond the curtain of hatred.

Mr. Bowler, correct yourself.
Holy Quran was not written by anybody, it was a revealation from Almighty. Mohammed was illeterate and was not able to writ. Infact first Quran was made into a book much after his death. Till that time and infact today most of the muslims memorize whole Quran and this infact a miracle. As no other relegeous book can be memorized by peoples.
