Don't precah these ridiculous thoughts with negative undertones. If Malayalis have risen across the world it was through the sheer dint of their quality and earned respect for the community. Here the thought is on quantity sans any worth. Utter shame for these filth.
The Television channels in Kerala is corrupting young Keralites. The channels are filled with filmi-programmes sending a subtle message like Tamilians; movies, movie artistes and mimicry artistes are the cultural ambassadors of Keralites. The Onam message of harmony, caring togetherness, sharing of joy among family members, neighbours, friends are sidetracked. Kerala requires a new movement to save the state from third rate movie makers and their patrons in channel offices all gloating under the philosphy--Money By Any Means.

Barking is the easiest way out, as logic and sense run out of stock. My sympathy for u...and I stand by what i stated.
Rediff hasn't done its research right. Onam is a festival of keralites, regardless of whether they are hindus, christians or muslims. ALL of them celebrate Onam. It is the collective spirit that aspires to go beyond caste, creed and religion since King Mahabali's reign itself was renowned for being most prosperous where his subjects thrived and were above need or want, were most content. Onam is therefore about equanimity of vision, equality and the spirit of humanity. It is about gratitude to Mother Nature for nurturing us with her bounties.
I feel Media presents an incorrect picture of Onam. They project it as a Hindu festival when actually it is a Harvest festival(hence all communities celebrate). Here in Mumbai non mallus seem suprised when they see me celebrating Onam!!! They think its only for Hindus.............
