Bidwai, however you try to hide it or color it with just mouthful of sincerity, you show your true colors. You know we are the proponents of disarmaments, right? Why don't you promote disarmament in China and Pakistan for the benefit of Indian security? Why don't you promote democracy, for better transparency and freedom of speech for even hypocrites like you, in those countries for the benefit of Indian security? Is it too much to ask a communist?

Are you forgetting our religious rigt (BJP) also opposed the nuclear deal? Anyway it is a good thing that India's friendship with US is growing. Us has an inherent dislike for Nazi-like racist ideologies and extremism (of all variety and religion). The new friendship will eliminate the already marginalized religious extremists.

Extremism has nothing to do with one's private beliefs. You may believe your is the only true way, it is your belief, which nobody has the right to question.
But by 'extremism' one means the type of ideology typical of BJP, SIMI, RSS, Taliban et al. Christian fundamentalists are a strange group, but not violent as a class, as the forgoing despicable lot.
You are just being disingenuous in pretending to be not understanding this.

Hmm, I see, so certain religions have extremists and other religions have absolutely no extremists but only "strange groups". So if some one accuses others of superstition, cow worship, rat worship, idol worship, mumbo jumbo etc etc, that is not extremism, but merely "strange" behaviour. The BJP if it can be a religious right would be considered an extreme Leftist by Paki or Bangladesh standards. The center there is equivalent of extreme right in India. Even by US standards BJP would be far left of even the Republican party. BJP could be a nationalist party but not a religious pary by any stretch of imagination. Firstly, the Hindu religion does not mandate a political system, even Ram Rajya is more conceptual than an agenda. It is only the Semitic religions like Judaism, Christianity & Islam that has this wierd concept of a political system that has come from God. Of the three mentioned however, only Islam established a Caliphate ordained by God, and a the present time it is the only religion with a Theocratic state agenda. The BJP has not insisted on altering Indias secular framework with any like say Manu Code.
Would u rather replace ur imagined McCarthyrism with Stalinism or better bin Ladenism? For Gods sake Praful write these articles for Jang Karachi or Beijing Morning News !

Sovereinity is meaningless w/o development and military power that, of course, comrades would never want for India (if they did, what will happen to the aam-adami?). Goog job, comrades and your fellow travellers, ensure India's education system goes down the drain, keep on turning illegal migration into legal voters for your party, and ensure that India is always subservient to your masters, the Chinese, and thereby keep your war chest full for all future elections.
