Tamil got a classical lang... thats true but how ? There was a script found which belonged to the 2AD time.. in which Tamil literature was there. which is the oldest.. but if you go through it.. it says the grammer from tamil was taken from Kannada... so people can decide which is oldest.. just because you had some influence in the higher up ..doesnt mean that it is a great lang and others not.. Most of the indian lang are old.. so if a foolish president can declare one lang as classical lang why not other langs.. so wake up kid.. there are lot more out there.. Having lived in Bangalore, I can see that the amount of bad feeling in India against people of different types never go away. Innately, there is no superiority of any type of human being. Any Indian citizen should be able to live anywhere. It is sad that people of all types have their opinions of their superiority. Due to this run up in feeling, ordinary people get into trouble while having a simple life. Is this the country we want? There are great Kannadigas just as those of any other types. That does not make one superior to another. I wish that we get away from such simplistic and hateful opinions. It tires me out to see such opinions everyday. Sure, we have the right to remove illegal aliens, but these are not Indians. While they may subvert the law due to poverty, even they are not inferior.

HI GUYS, No place of regional chauvanism for people like us.We want to develop, contribute to our society and be proud that we are indians and be united. It is the regional rivalry which had cost us everything when mughals came and then with east india company.Leave these cheap talk to politicians like devagowda and some shiv sena elements.I have lived in madras as well in mysore.I found more similarities than differences.

very true, Mr Balamurali.. i completely agree with you. i speak four indian languages, and had been with many people. i personally have lived in karnataka for more than half of my childhood, and the later part in tamilnadu... i dont see many differences between the two states.. infact we are very very similiar in many things...
and even if we are different in few things, cant we still live together in harmony... forget the past... and move towards prosperity. lets all grow together....
I thyink its good to reserve substantial no. of Govt. jobs for the terrorists and their sympathizers, as already initiated by Kumaraswamy.. then Karnataka will be safe (for the terrorists at least!).

it seems that you do not know anything about Tamil. It has only less number of sanskrit words that too because of aryans' intrusion into Tamil Nadu. Among dravidian languages Tamil stands on its own right. You can even say Tamil is the mother of all the dravidian languages.

You have to brush up your history and sociology. There was no Aryan intrusion either into Tamilnadu or into India. One of the current theories is OIT - out of India theory. All scholars in the past have treated tamil and sanskrit as two eyes - the tamil tradition is the sum of best practices from both tamil and sanskrit.
Sanskrit was an efficient link language in the past; hindi is trying to take that place.

The Official Lingua Franca of the Government is Hindi, means all the corespondences of the Central Government should have been in Hindi. So even in Tamil Nadu, theoritically speaking it should be in Hindi. But for sake of convienience the language of correspondence English is being used.

100% literacy in Tamil Nadu. Hmmm never heard of it. In Singapore it is spoken by around 8% of the population and that is because a lot of Tamil labourers were forced by Britishers to go to Singapore. Tamil culture dominant in Sri Lanka and Malaysia that is also not true. Sri Lanka is dominated by Sinhalese and Tamilians are just a minority there and so also in Singapore and Malaysia. Most of the Singaporeans are of Chinese origin. A Language does'nt become great because of having 3000 years of spoken history. I think English has a lot lesser than 3000 years of spoken history but I guess that is the language everyone wants to study.
