Humility does not work with US - it is considered a sign of weakness. Why the US is angry if the deal is a sell out of their own nuclear capabilities? It is because, the deal has something which brings some urgent money and independence from India!
This situation clearly shows the results of duplicity - on both sides - in relationships.
I guess India was just trying to get legitimacy for its nuclear situation - if it really does not wan to sign on.
What the leadership there need to understand is that the US Congress is a powerful body and not just the chamchas of the President and his party. The Congress spent a lot of time on this and will be really pissed off when things come to zero.

Yes you're right ofcourse, but there should always be plan B and C and D if Uranium imprt is unjustly denied by NSG. Sorry but ncreasing high value civilian assets, reactors and nation in general, really need military protection by Indian defence. Double standard is done by NSG since 70's who treat China as responsible nation while it is known proliferator, but sanction India (advanced nuclear weapons state since decades) while it is very responsible and has never proliferated.
