Supreme Court of Delhi
by rajiv mahajan on Apr 10, 2007 02:16 PM  Permalink

I dont understand why the SC is bent upon sealing only in Delhi ! Have they realised that if they adopt the same norms in Mumbai, 80% of Mumbai would be sealed !! Supreme Court should get into matters of interpretation of constitution and not on what is to be sealed or not. And if they get into something, it should have pan India relevance and not Delhi alone.

Start putting senior civil servants in jails
by Prof R K Gupta-India on Apr 10, 2007 01:23 PM  Permalink

All these cadres are acting in mafia helping and supporting each other busy looting and plundering public wealth, making money, enjoying self awarded and fixed hefty salaries and perks and abuse of public money.Arrogant and uncultured they have now even lost decency.Easily they can be called criminals as they hob nob and collude with people who indulge in bribery amd corruption and theft of public money. These cadres are openly arrogant, misbehaved and make mockery of citizens and their rights. It is time courts start acting tough and put them behind bars.Or is there something to hide by judges too under their obvious sioftness to contempt of court orders. No one gives a damn to court orders now a days much les the police? Why not widn up oplcie and courts as they are huge draiun on national resources.Just keep 2 courts in each state to watch safety of constitution.Let it be free for all. Then we people will tyajke care of all these babus and goonds in uniform in no time.

You are so right. Now, today, SC has sentenced Delhi BJP MLA H S Balli to three months imprisonment for breaking the seals of certain unauthorised structures in the capital which were earlier ordered to be sealed by the apex court.

A bench headed by Justice Arijit Pasayat imposed the sentence after the MLA who appeared in person stoutly defended his move as worthy of a people's representative.

Honest is Best Policy
by ashok iyer on Apr 10, 2007 12:55 PM  Permalink

yes Good decision, Judges should take some Punitive action against law enforcement agencies than only our country should move right direction. Every time law makers made the law than slowly they will change the law according person to person which is not acceptable at any cost. Judges can only make India in right direction otherwise common people never get justice. Money and Muscular power is strong in India and even middle class approach to court than jujstice will take years together at the time effected party may died or he/she wants to quit case. Better judges should give their verdict without seeing who is standing in the box than only this country will improve and true honest will come.

it is not only the congress party but all politicians. they want that the courts should dance to their tunes and turn a blind eye to whatever shenanigans they are indulging in. courts are the last and only hope for honest people

PM will treat this also as infringment in territory of executives by SC
by pradeep agarwal on Apr 10, 2007 12:43 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Our always on advice with no action mode PM will no doubt express his displeasure on this as his very incompetent subordinates & partners in the coalition will not be able to committ serious violations without fear of being hauled by SC. It is amazing to see how even some one with no political compulsion & a relatively clean past has become the slave of corroupt system & may well take the mantle of most inefficient head of a govt to have ever ruled the country.
