How can one describe it a small thing. Is it not illicit in any country to take advantage of minors. May be the punishment should be amended to a lesser intensity but the culprits should be sentenced by any means.
I have seen their show on television. In this show they showed how they layed bait for all these so called sex predators. They decoys were minor citizens who were showing sexual intentions and asked these so called predators to come to their house and have sex with them.To be brief they were lured into the bait.Atleast 75% of them dint show any sexual dispositon initially. I dont understand how could the federal police to behave like this.Ppl please make a comment on this after having a luk at the show.

You are 100% incorrect.
NONE of the people involved in these stings are "minor citizens". Everyone involved, thankfully, is an adult.
The perverts who show up start the sex talk. EVERY TIME. Read the chat logs.
You'd like people to watch the show before they comment, I would ask you to read the chat logs of those convicted before you comment.
http://www.perverted-justice.com 88 convictions throughout the US. Obviously what Perverted Justice is doing is in accordance with the law or these convictions would not have happened.
This is not a straight case, It depends on lot of contexts, i have read some yahoo transcripts on internet on how law enforcement tries to lure, They do say they are 12 - 13 year old girls but the way they talk does not make any one believe that they are actually minors. And Indian people think a minor can't talk like that. Of course if the law enforcement officer or perverted justice member talks non-sexual and the person at the other end stresses sectual chat, its a different case, but when the law enforcement officer or perverted justice member makes other person to talk about sexual content and asks them to come and meet, even though the other person is chatting normally, its not the right thing for the law-enforcement officer to induce innocent people. After all internet chat is virtual/fantacy world and no body is not 100% sure of who is at the other end. The Courts/Government should be form some realistic rules about this. Funny thing in USA is, the persons who commit crimes against minors go scott free and people who get caught over these internet sting operations get jailed. The courts should see the history and conduct of the suspect before they convict him.
Blame yourself.

Dear Sir,even if a law enforcement officer in the guise of a minor girl baits you to talk sexually, you will not do so unless you are a confirmed pervet and a future child molester. So don't blame others but the criminals.

This is so true!. While everybody in Im-Holier-than-thou- India is so sure, what is also not taken into account apart from the enticing law enforcing officers is that American/Europeans, and Im not sure anyone would agree here, look very mature for their age, pretty quickly. Ive seen 15-16 year olds passing off quite believably as 21 years old and you cant make out they are that young. I know this sounds as defense of these freaks, nothing would make me happier than to see these gits given the gallow, i cant cant discount the factor of the girls looking a lot older than they are.
I saw one of the operation's footages on TV. The prorgam was to alarm the parents of minor child who fall in trap with internet chatting. One Indian and his friend allegedly chat with a 14yrs old girl on internet (she was a bait by that channel) and fixed an appointment for an encounter (sexual). When they reached the spot theywere greeted by the girl and suddenly from behind one adult person appears with the print-outs of all the chatting messages (america's cyber crime units are also involved), they were caught red handed. But till that police is not appeared when they tried to run-away after knowing that they are caught, police arrested them. the others who were arrested a doctor (age 42), a truck driver (age 38), a US army soldier (age 30), an Indian IT engineer (age 25), a real estate agent (age 32) etc.
Just because they did not physically 'commit' sexual acts does not mean they're not guilty - they did solicit sex from these 'minors' on the internet; they did go to the location agreed to during these 'chats', and what did they intend to do when they got there? Scum like these must be punished severely.
Sad Indian youth fall prey to the game; they come from a culture where sex is forbidden till marriage, and should have desisted from such evil intentions. If they really want to go astray, there are so many alternate means eh! Why try and coax a minor- most reprehensible act. Have no sympathy for the perverts; pack them off home. They bring bad name to own country, should be ashamed! Pray more common sense prevails and minors are safe. Peayen

Sex is forbidden before marriage??!! hahahaha Fell of my chair!..i cant believe our country produces shyt like bees produce honey! hahaha
It is a small thing in comparison to killing and actual rape. Far more henious crimes are committed. They must be warned and possibly jailed for a while. Just because they were thinking doesn't prove that they would be up to commiting. That's where the modus operandi is questionable. With a good lawyer, most of these people should be able to walk away unless they are proved to have commited such acts.
I happened to watch the dateline episode broadcast on NBC in which several Indians were caught. They had clear intentions of having sex with the minor. They deserve to be punished as per law.
