Sino-India Relationships
by Vivek Anand on Nov 14, 2006 11:21 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I think whether as an individual, society or as a Nation, no one should forget its past as it is the foundation of todays and future course of action.

Leadership, in this regard, has to play an important role. Look at the Chinese Leadership, we can call it dictatorship but in the real sense it has made it sure that China as a country has to move ahead. It could be in terms of Economic Power or a strong Military Organization. With the possible strategic threat from US, they have made their relationships better with those countries in which US has a big Interest. For example African Oil producing Nations.

The Farsightedness, I think is the key aspect, which we are lagging in. But I think we can do little with the no. of problems we have in our own region. In Asia including the subcontinent, if we look, we dont have anybody to call as friend in true terms. In some cases we dont have any choice and in others we have burnt our hands ourselves.

In the recent years, the relationship with our neighbours, have gone sour instead of any improvement. Believe me, I wish our country would not have so many neighbours

How to Destroy China
by Riva T Philip on Nov 16, 2006 11:04 AM  Permalink
How to teach China a lesson of their life?

Please read my blog on the establishment of "United Republic of India" (Akhand Bharat), comprising India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and some parts of today's Communist China.

India should promote terrorism and seperatism in China and also work towards the division of our rival country. We should make alliance with Russia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Tibet, Manchuria, South Korea, Japan, and Vietnam (even Vietnam have some border problem with China) in order to contain China.

We should also deport all Communists, Marxists, Maoists, Naxals, Intellectuals, Human Rights Activists, etc to China so that these so-called Activists will face music in China.

In this article, I clearly mentioned disintegration of Communist China.

Regards,

Apparantly, you are not aware that China is controlling entire Tibet since 1949, So there is no question of China now walking into Tibet.

Can we forget realities ?
by ashok gupta on Nov 14, 2006 11:19 AM  Permalink

It is good to let by gones be by gones and start afresh, but can we let down our guard ? CAn we really forget history ? The whole world has contributed to China becoming a major power and all the world can think to-day is money - China knows this advantage and playing this to the hilt. If China wants to be friends again - good for us but whom does it benefit more ? China has un-doubtedly created for itself alliances with our neighbours - can we ignore this fact too. They know what is good for China and only China even if it means butchering Tibet because they know not one squeak will come out from the rest of the world. Ironically Saddam is being tried for genocide and has been found guilty - who is guilty of murdering the Tibetans ????? CAn USA bring the murders to book or even raise a voice or get the world to chastise China ? The world only uses Tibet as a pressure point on China for their own means.
To-day if China walks into Tibet - India can only run to the UN like it did for Kashmir and we can be sure that the world will be silent because China has much more to offer. Time to stop and look hard at realities and understand them.

We've forgotten. China hasn't
by Viras on Nov 14, 2006 10:04 AM  Permalink

Thats true what ever Raman projects here appears correct but china achieve this because of two reasons.
Mainly considering nation as the prime interest and Political stability. Their system allows them to pursue their Goals irrespective of resistance where as in India every Govt has to think about its coalition and alliances. Only if we get a strong leader with majority Govt we will achieve what we want.

Wars between civilized nations is now a thing of the past
by Vaibhav on Nov 14, 2006 10:00 AM  Permalink

Events like wars between civilized nations is now a thing of the past. I don't think civilized countries like China, India, etc. are ever going to fight.
It's only the muslim countries(like Pakistan) and some western powers that still believe in these shameless wars.

over- fondness
by George on Nov 14, 2006 09:30 AM  Permalink

But is this not in our blood, culture?? We have a culture of forgiving and forgetting. That is also why we see the same 'rascals' being elected to power over and over again. How many new ministers/leaders have we seen in the country in the last 50 years??

Our country intrests are imp.
by Satish on Nov 14, 2006 09:23 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Hi,

We are very positive towards bilateral relations and at a time we shouldn't loose our intrests also.
China Ambasador coments makes lot of sense here that he told Arunachal pradesh is the part of china. China never give up inch of land, thats why today it is having disputes with all his neibhour countries. Our so called strong govt. shouldn't bend like it did earlier...

Thanks,
Satish.

We should forget the past but not at the cost of our nation. We should not compromise for the slightest thing. The world has changed and so has our military strength. We should not bow in front of china.
