It is good to let by gones be by gones and start afresh,but can we let down our guard ? CAn we really forget history ? The whole world has contributed to China becoming a major power and all the world can think to-day is money - China knows this advantage and playing this to the hilt. If China wants to be friends again - good for us but whom does it benefit more ? China has un-doubtedly created for itself alliances with our neighbours - can we ignore this fact too.They know what is good for China and only China even if it means butchering Tibet because they know not one squeak will come out from the rest of the world. Ironically Saddam is being tried for genocide and has been found guilty - who is guilty of murdering the Tibetans ????? CAn USA bring the murders to book or even raise a voice or get the world to chastise China ? The world only uses Tibet as a pressure point on China for their own means. To-day if China walks into Tibet - India can only run to the UN like it did for Kashmir and we can be sure that the world will be silent because China has much more to offer. Time to stop and look hard at realities and understand them.
