wake up call for INDIA
by khushboo batra on Jul 13, 2006 04:47 PM  Permalink

i fail to under when our reporters can go out to terrorists groups to get their interviews, why can'nt our intelligence agencies reach out for them. Its a high time now.Why is it so that afer 9/11 blast,6 years have passed,US has not faced any other terrorist attack. And in India every six months we undergo a terror that runs through many people's veins. Its the right time for our Indians to leave and drop the ideas of peace and non voilence and adopt the harder policies of bouncing back this dreadly evil of terrorism.

Instead of fighting and blaming each other,we should unite as one to fight these challenges.these people target innocent people but that time is not far when they will enter our intelligence systems to destroy us.

its not spirit, its survival . .
by Vineet on Jul 13, 2006 03:16 PM  Permalink

mere survival moves mumbai, not spirit .

Not even 24 hours had passed and mumbai was back on trains running to reach places to make their living. And we say that spirit of Mumbaikars is amazing. Its a never say die attitude. I salaam this spirit, but the other side of the story is - there is no choice for mumbaikars. By doing blasts in local trains terrorists have succeded in creating an atmosphere of fear among the common citizens and it is the comman mumbaikar who is going to suffer. Mind you common mumbaikar has no choice but to get back to work. So this is not fighting back, its choosing the only available option (becuase there are none others available). I was there in train almost 18 hours after the blast, becuase i had no choice but to go by train for a meeting. So it is the helplessness of common mumbaikar thats forces them to fight and not really some spirit. We all are humans and incidences of such voilence definitely impact our emotional wellbeing; whether or not we admit this is different.

So its not the spirit that drives mumbaikars, its the BASIC SURVIVAL that drives them . . . remember survival of the fittest by darwin

IT panic
by ksey on Jul 13, 2006 12:28 PM  Permalink

IT companies have a lot lot more security than, for eg., trains. It is the public places like transporation system, stations and other public offices that need to worried about - NOT the IT.
And, it is not always about the finances - is it?

Terror:IT could be next target
by Tushar on Jul 13, 2006 11:55 AM  Permalink

Hi,

I completely agree with your points except "Jamming of communication network was required so that terrorist could not communicate so on so forth".
This is, according to me, a lame execuse. You could have very well thought of millions of innocent people who suffered in the blast instead of terrorist.By deliberatly jamming the network, you made those innocent people a handicap.
Many people might have died of heart attack due to no communication in this situation.(& talking about Mumbaikar'spirit). Do you think, was that a right step???????????
(Looking at the perfect execution of this brutal bombblast plan, dont you think terrorists were not at all dependent on mobile network(at that perticular time).
Unlike all (Indian)Govt. bodies, they must have thought of every possibilities(All "X"s in Six sigma term)which would hinder their dirty intentions("Y"s).Then what was achieved by jamming a network?????????)

Regards
