Not even 24 hours had passed and mumbai was back on trains running to reach places to make their living. And we say that spirit of Mumbaikars is amazing. Its a never say die attitude. I salaam this spirit, but the other side of the story is - there is no choice for mumbaikars. By doing blasts in local trains terrorists have succeded in creating an atmosphere of fear among the common citizens and it is the comman mumbaikar who is going to suffer. Mind you common mumbaikar has no choice but to get back to work. So this is not fighting back, its choosing the only available option (becuase there are none others available). I was there in train almost 18 hours after the blast, becuase i had no choice but to go by train for a meeting. So it is the helplessness of common mumbaikar thats forces them to fight and not really some spirit. We all are humans and incidences of such voilence definitely impact our emotional wellbeing; whether or not we admit this is different.
So its not the spirit that drives mumbaikars, its the BASIC SURVIVAL that drives them . . . remember survival of the fittest by darwin
