sacking of Venu
by James Barzini on Jul 06, 2006 08:55 PM  Permalink

This wretched government should be shown the door. It has all power junkies at the helm of affairs, who do not care about public opinion and play vote bank politics. This government is at the mercies of all kinds of hoodlums from all walks of life. The leftists are holding the gun and hijacking the economic policy. Now the despicable south indian dravidian parties are rearing the head with their avowed hatred to forward castes. This time round, Congress will seize its last chance to destroy the country starting with premier institutions. PM is an impotent king.

Most heinous crime !
by SS Kumar on Jul 06, 2006 08:46 PM  Permalink

We are aghast at the way a highly acclaimed cardiac surgeon like Dr. Venugopal, who has served AIIMS for over 47 years, with total dedication, has been publicly humiliated.
This is brazen display of caste politics in front of a PM who is clearly helpless. He should now show his per
sonal integrity and sack his Health Minister to show he openly cares more for public values and sentiments than for sticking to his chair.
The last time, Railways Minister Hanumathiah openly humiliated his then Railway Board Chairman, Ms. Gandhi quietly dropped him at the next cabinet reshuffle, by way of retribution.

If the PM does not drop him, I am sure the people of India will definitely "drop" him at the next elections. Probably, they will drop the ineffective PM
also.

Regards,

Kumar,

Situation at AIIMS
by Tapankanti Mandal on Jul 06, 2006 08:43 PM  Permalink

I hate strike, particularly in the profession like health services. But it does not mean they can be treated in the way the Director, DR. Venugopal is being treated.

I request the docotors faternity to express their grievances in other alternative ways.

Media is projecting the death of a patient without treatment arising out of the flsh strike doctors in AIIMS. As if doctors in AIIMS are responsible for this death.

Executive wing of the governmentappears to have no moral responsibility to maintain the health service of the country.

Hon'ble President may take suitable action to arrest the situation.

Previous rulings of the Hon'ble apex court of the country may kindly be kept in mind. This brouht a great releif to the ailing patients of the country.

AIIMS has been wounded
by hemant rawat on Jul 06, 2006 08:39 PM  Permalink

I do not know about AIIMS but, autonomy certainly has been wounded. And what is surpiising is that the person who has committed this Crime is a Below par Dr. and even a much less a Human. His and His fathers contribution to the Indian Society is nil in comparison to that of Dr Venugopal's. Its time we Indians start doing something about these Arrogant and Arse holish Politicians. and this sort of things happen more whenever the Cong. is in power.

AIIMS has been wounded
by labrea on Jul 06, 2006 08:19 PM  Permalink

Not just AIIMS, but the entire nation has been wounded by this totalitarian Communist UPA regime. True, politicians of all stripes in this stinking fetid nation feel that once elected, they become all powerful, all-controlling petty tyrants, with the right to stick their noses into everything from cricket to unviversity heads, but the UPA has outdone them all in their meddling and attempt at total control. No wonder everything in this poverty-stricken land of filth and squalor is so primitive, mediocre and underdeveloped, and expected to get even worse under this present Communist UPA regime.
