Shame Shame !!! Indian judiciary
by SB on Feb 23, 2006 01:18 PM  Permalink

Once again , the Indian Judiciary has not failed us.It has done the very expected and acquitted all the accused to live a free life after committing such a henious crime such as murder, that too in a crowded place. What else can be expected anyway.

Shame on you Shayan Munshi , Shiv Dass, and Karan Rajput for backing out what ever the reason.
Hope your conscience will come to life some day.We shall wait for the day.

As for Bina Ramani who is crying foul at the journalists, remember the fact that you yourself have two daughters.Give a thought to the loss suffered by Jessica's family.

Finally a message for the real culprits themselves.....Your money ,power and political connection may have saved you from this judiciary but remember you will be tried again in another court of law where you will be proved GUILTY.There will be no hostile witnesses, no power and no bloody political connection to save your skin there.
I pray for that day to arrive soon in your lives.

jessica lal murder case
by vivek singh on Feb 23, 2006 12:27 PM  Permalink

Hello
It's a real shame that we Indians pride on having one of the largest and most efficient (I doubt) legal setup in the world.
In a country where millions of cases are hung up with no future, and where case files are dealt like ordinary pieces of paper, we can expect nothing better.
Jessica's murder was one of those many instances where the accused slipped away unscathed. Indian judiciary is full of such examples. Reasons are many for people like Manu Sharma to go unharmed, I mean, he has a political backing, and won't he use it for his betterment. Afterall, Indians are wellknown for taking politics for their personal benifit. Till the hour a person has a strong backing, who cares.
I am still in a state of shock. iIhad almost lost track of this case, I had thought that maybe Manu sharma has been hanged.
Who knew, one fine morning one will come to know that he has been relesed.
I am not surprised of the fact that the accused has been relesed, the backing out of main witnesses including model-cum-actor Shayan Munshi also didnt quite baffled me. it was, but obvious.
i simply wonder what might have fallen on Sabina and her entire family.
i deeply stand to console them.
thank u.

Stop blaming innocent bystanders
by Sukesh on Feb 23, 2006 12:15 PM  Permalink

This is the most stupid statement I have ever heard that the witnesses are responsible for the murderer to get away. What do you expect from the witnesses who saw a powerful person shooting someone in fromt of their eyes and then see the government and entire administrative machinery making huge concessions in favour of the killer.
What chance do u or I stand against someone who is rich and powerful in political circles. These people have all the resources and the political machinery to sway the witness in their favour. Whereas there is absolutely no one to help the witness and the victim.
Someone gets away with such outrageous act and everyone is blaming those who were unfortunate enough to be there. No one is blaming the police who amazingly cant find one single evidence or the judiciaries who are not able to see why the witneses are changing the statement.

The ones that got way
by sarvemeet on Feb 23, 2006 11:50 AM  Permalink

The system stinks-Witness turning hostile- gangsters let off has been happening but the saving grace of the judiciary(paradoxically) is the long delays whereby the accused suffer agonising delays and long periods of uncertainty.Alas in this case judging from the profile of the personalities acquitted they seem to be hardened errants who possibly suffered no hardships in prison(given their connections)and who have no chance of improving. The bigger danger is that they will commit many more such crimes(knowing that they can get away with it).Hopefully in Hindi movie style it will be the judge's near and dear one who will be molested or raped or killed.let us wait and watch.Meanwhile our sympathies are with the Lal Family and the hope that the Court of Appeal will work.

Sad
by Indian on Feb 23, 2006 11:06 AM  Permalink

It is really sad to see that there is no justice. If for such a clear case, murderer's get acquitted, then what can we say about other cases. I do think we need a law for Perjury to prevent witnesses from becoming hostile.

Fruits of Corrupt system
by John on Feb 23, 2006 10:46 AM  Permalink

The entire political, financial and judicial system is corrupt. If you have power and money a person can get out of anything. Law in our country has sieves from which influential people get away.
We citizens are responsible for making our nation like this. I've noticed Indians are pretty dishonest when we compare with other people.

Shame on the Indian Judicial system
by rameshwar mahay on Feb 23, 2006 10:04 AM  Permalink

Indian judicial system has hit the rock bottom by acquitting the accused in Jessica murder case. This case will be add another feather in the cap of super rich families who care damn about the system and always get away from punishment for heinous crime they may commit.
Shame on the Indian Judicial System.
