The system stinks-Witness turning hostile- gangsters let off has been happening but the saving grace of the judiciary(paradoxically) is the long delays whereby the accused suffer agonising delays and long periods of uncertainty.Alas in this case judging from the profile of the personalities acquitted they seem to be hardened errants who possibly suffered no hardships in prison(given their connections)and who have no chance of improving.The bigger danger is that they will commit many more such crimes(knowing that they can get away with it).Hopefully in Hindi movie style it will be the judge's near and dear one who will be molested or raped or killed.let us wait and watch.Meanwhile our sympathies are with the Lal Family and the hope that the Court of Appeal will work.
