jessica lal murder case
by vivek singh on Feb 23, 2006 12:27 PM

Hello
It's a real shame that we Indians pride on having one of the largest and most efficient (I doubt) legal setup in the world.
In a country where millions of cases are hung up with no future, and where case files are dealt like ordinary pieces of paper, we can expect nothing better.
Jessica's murder was one of those many instances where the accused slipped away unscathed. Indian judiciary is full of such examples. Reasons are many for people like Manu Sharma to go unharmed, I mean, he has a political backing, and won't he use it for his betterment. Afterall, Indians are wellknown for taking politics for their personal benifit. Till the hour a person has a strong backing, who cares.
I am still in a state of shock. iIhad almost lost track of this case, I had thought that maybe Manu sharma has been hanged.
Who knew, one fine morning one will come to know that he has been relesed.
I am not surprised of the fact that the accused has been relesed, the backing out of main witnesses including model-cum-actor Shayan Munshi also didnt quite baffled me. it was, but obvious.
i simply wonder what might have fallen on Sabina and her entire family.
i deeply stand to console them.
thank u.
