Is Punjab to blame?
by Jalal on Aug 30, 2006 06:13 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I am amazed to find many blaming Punjab for the underdevelopment of Balochistan. On the contrary, it is the sco called sardars of Balochistan who have resisted any development in their areas for the fear of losing their sardari system. What stops the sardars to developing schools, roads and hospitals in thier areas? Each big sardar has amassed billions in their accounts - what for? Lets call a spade a spade and know the true facts and do no mislead the poor and under developed poverty stricken people of Balochistan, ruthlessly subjugated by the sardars and their sardari system. Let us not talk of war here - let there be peace and understanding. Let us not just blame Punjab for every ills in Pakistan. rather we should concentrate in resolving the root causes and eradicate these. I respect sardars but at the same time I would urge them to open up to the world and let us take part in resurrection and not destruction. May Allah help us find our destiny through love and not hate. Thats how we will progress and prosper.

Thanks Mr Sood, fo rthe incisive article. THe cabal of Nehru-Menon & other congresswallahs show their incompetence once again.

I guess we Indians deserve trouble from the pakis, due to our inept "elected" leaders.

Dear Mr. Sood,
For your kind information, the Indian Armed Forces strafed the Mizo hills when insurgency first broke out there. For a comparison of how Kashmiris & NE people at large are treated with kidgloves & mailed fists respectively, pl. read about champion body-builder Bijit Gogoi from Assam being accused of being non-Indian & physically threatened at Pune in the Delhi edition of Times of India on 4th Feb.

Absolutely unbelievable!!

Its really unbelievable that the early indian leadership has made so many mistakes during those crucial years of 1947-48. Most of the problems that our country today is grappling with, are owed to the mistakes made by nehru and other leaders of congress. Probably the lure of becoming a ruler closed their eyes, or they completely lacked foresight.

However, on hindsight, its easy to criticize mistakes. What's important is to look beyond and find solution to these problems.

What India today needs to do is break up pakistan politically and start the process of unification. The very purpose of pakistan, bangladesh, nepal and myanmar are to destabilize india. Unless India spreads its sphere of influence to middle east and the south asia, it would be really hard to become a major player on the world stage.

To achieve this, first india needs to break up pakistan, and merge Sindh and balochistan into itself, so that a door to iran and afganistan opens up; but also pressure myanmar into becoming a democracy again.

India then need to unify with bangladesh and improve its network of roads and transportation in the north east, so that it can spread its trade in the east asia.

independent balochistan
by nanda chandran on Feb 03, 2006 01:32 AM  Permalink

an independent balochistan is pretty much the key for india to lose its "pain in the neck". an independent balochistan is good news for everybody - the balochs will have their country, the myopic pak military/elite can finally say goodbye to all their grandoise but unrealistic imperial ambitions which is making life hell for everybody including themselves and everybody lives happily ever after!
