Absolutely unbelievable!!
by sid on Feb 03, 2006 04:11 AM

Its really unbelievable that the early indian leadership has made so many mistakes during those crucial years of 1947-48. Most of the problems that our country today is grappling with, are owed to the mistakes made by nehru and other leaders of congress. Probably the lure of becoming a ruler closed their eyes, or they completely lacked foresight.

However, on hindsight, its easy to criticize mistakes. What's important is to look beyond and find solution to these problems.

What India today needs to do is break up pakistan politically and start the process of unification. The very purpose of pakistan, bangladesh, nepal and myanmar are to destabilize india. Unless India spreads its sphere of influence to middle east and the south asia, it would be really hard to become a major player on the world stage.

To achieve this, first india needs to break up pakistan, and merge Sindh and balochistan into itself, so that a door to iran and afganistan opens up; but also pressure myanmar into becoming a democracy again.

India then need to unify with bangladesh and improve its network of roads and transportation in the north east, so that it can spread its trade in the east asia.
