Is Punjab to blame?
by Jalal on Aug 30, 2006 06:13 AM

I am amazed to find many blaming Punjab for the underdevelopment of Balochistan. On the contrary, it is the sco called sardars of Balochistan who have resisted any development in their areas for the fear of losing their sardari system. What stops the sardars to developing schools, roads and hospitals in thier areas? Each big sardar has amassed billions in their accounts - what for? Lets call a spade a spade and know the true facts and do no mislead the poor and under developed poverty stricken people of Balochistan, ruthlessly subjugated by the sardars and their sardari system. Let us not talk of war here - let there be peace and understanding. Let us not just blame Punjab for every ills in Pakistan. rather we should concentrate in resolving the root causes and eradicate these. I respect sardars but at the same time I would urge them to open up to the world and let us take part in resurrection and not destruction. May Allah help us find our destiny through love and not hate. Thats how we will progress and prosper.
