U R REAL SUCULARIST
by Dinkar Singh on Mar 22, 2005 11:42 AM  Permalink

My Dear Columnist,
If people like u become secularist and think as u hv done in this column i bet u will never see any violence from Hindu side. The biggest thing at present situation is that there are few people who hate Hindus and thus we are after hundreds & hundreds years of patience are now reacting in the same language they have.

You can even abuse me for what i think but this will not last long a day will come when people will understand this truth.

Well Musharaf was responsible for kargil but US always
give him red carpet welcome. There is no problem with Musharaf or Amanullah khan JKLF leader whose organisation had killed thousands of pandits in kashmir.Self proclaimed secularist experts like Arundhati roy do not have any problem holding hands with yasin malik of jklf, but they are happy with this US decision.Modi did not do the right thing, but what US has done and also the so called secularist organisations who campaigned for not granting visa is also not right.Tommorow they can start dictating how politics in India should be conducted and who should stand for polls and who should not.Is India listening?

Dear Mr. Raman,
Nice to hear from an expert who is not a BJP supporter to come out and speak up against the way some secularists are trying to potray this country to the outside world. India has always been a land which has suffered from its dose of Jaychands and these secularists aren't any different . When a family dispute is opened to the arbitrage of an outsider no one in the family gains but these jingoists would never understand this. Furthermore , Arundhati Roys of India never understand that healthy criticism also have boundaries as far as ethics and national interests are concerned. I read an article from Ms Roy which was replete with such lies in order to tarnish Modi that even a novice like myself could decipher these. Being a leading writer in her own right it is to be expected that she writes something after verifying her stories. Another lie being propagated which i think was the major reason for the cancellation of his visa was Mr. Modi's comparision with hitler which would surely have created the spectre of anti-semitism which is a sensitive issue in US, to surface and hence lobbying against his arrival by the oh os sensitive US Congressmen

Patriotism is not "My country! right or wrong..."

Patriotism is the longing for "My country" to be right...

Dissent is patriotism. Working for justice is patriotism. Supporting a genocide or its supporter, no matter what political alliance, is no patriotism!

Mr. Modi and US Visa
by Yogesh Hasabnis on Mar 22, 2005 11:20 AM  Permalink

I can't comment anything on this column, but would like to know about what others who have read this column feel about it, especially about the comments on Mr. Nehru and Mr. Rao.

Raman's rticle on Modi visa
by Devasagayam on Mar 22, 2005 11:18 AM  Permalink

There are no Indians in US. If they are born there, they are americans.
Like Lele who had not heard of madhuri, lots of them are concerned human beings who do not care about realpolitik.
They are commenting on their idea of land of origin and not for india as Raman sees it.
It is also naive to expect strong christian organisations who made Bush's presidency possible keeping quiet when Modi antagonises local christians.
It is the Raman's who hv brought this upon india.
Nobody worked with the tribals except the missionaries. Why cry when they convert?
Even now tribals in Gujarat are deprived lot. Surely missionaries can become active in Gujarat also.
