In our country media and leader are making the image of poor as a handicraft. No possibility of improvement. They are and living element came to earth to eat( half) give birth ( increase population) and die. with a work that a machine can do better( cultivation, road, constraction). Let them awake by education. Lit the light in there life so they can leave the poverty of mind.
The bomb is needed for protection..especially with neighbours who are creating havoc with our country each day...going by that logic..why do poor people need roads..they do not drive vehicles..poor people do not need phones, radio, television...bad mouthing the nuclear deal seems to be the "in" thing...especially by people who have no clue what it means...
And yes, why does he need a moustache.., why does he need tourists to go ga-ga over it...surely he can discharge his duties without the same !!!

Poor people do not drive vehicles but they require roads to take their crops to the cities. They need the roads so that some help may come their way in times of adversity. They need the roads to go and meet their relatives in good times and bad who live in other villages. On Radio and TV they can see what is happening elsewhere and how it will affect them. They can be alerted of an upcoming natural calamity like storm. But how will an atom bomb help poor? What will the so called supporters west and nuclear deal do in case of a Chernobyl like disaster? Can a poor man earning Rs. 100 daily afford electricity @ Rs. 10 per unit? Why are we going ga ga over this stupid deal. Have we exhausted all other means of producing electricity? Is the sun not shining, or winds stopped blowing or oceans turned away from our shores?

this s a simple case of country's soverignty and can not be linked to poverty or otherwise. there is, ofcourse, so much to be done for poors of our country, but that doesn't mean a tread-off between it and soverignty. a poor man cannot do anything with the nuke bomb so as the rich man for sure, but a nuke bomb can help us not to bow down to any other country's unreasonable demands of occupying our mother land.
The thing is that a rich man will have everything, namely an atom bomb, an atomic reactor, and a Swiss Bank Account. Strangely, there is no mention of China in this article.

Colonization is not responsible for India's poverty. It is the plunder and loot by the successive govts, bureaucrats and babus that has made India poorer. Atom Bomb doesn't make a country stronger. It is the condition of its inhabitants, the GDP, the economy and the social status that make the country stronger or weaker. Malasia doesn't have an Atom bomb but just look at the strides of progress they have made in less than 50 years.

Do you know, why india is able to decisions independently? we are not depending on any country financially.. Now if the deal goes through, we will be bending to US all the time... one question, Cant we develop the technology to get ourselves energy independent? If not better to bend...

its not the matter of technology its the matter of nuclear fuel unfortunately we dont have enough reserves of uranium or any other elments......all i say is lets us make an economically vaible decison which is in long term good for the country
You have to work to save India. The poor man may not need the bomb, but there are a lot of richer men too and we need to defend India. Please don't draw irrational conclusions. Our defence expenditure is justified given the high risk from our rival nations as well as terrorism.We need the nuclear bomb.
