One of the reasons cited for going ahead with the nuclear deal is that it is a "clean" source of energy. However, with severe groundwater pollution reported around several plants and radiations percolating the neighbourhood, how safe can it really be?
N-deal means NPT (non-proliferation treaty) and Very High cost of energy, compared to the conventional energy cost (solar, wind, tide, plant), N-deal energy will be 3 times expensive. VERY EXCELLENT for INDIAN POOR/MIDDLE CLASS PEOPLE: BIG DOSE from UPA Govt under MMSingh and Sonia. For other source of energy investment would be less than half of N-deal cost and least level of pollution or no pollution. Moreover India will be place to dump nuclear waste. Indians will suffer from N-waste because of complete mismanagement, we have seen many times.

You have pointed correctly, a number of times i have sent messages regarding Nuclear Power and Waste disposal. Mismanagement is truly an Indian Virtue, Harnessing, wind, and solar energy is the answer These sources do not Pollute, nor expensive I pray, that Nuclear power Generation dont take place
It was a very good riddance of corrupt and traitors like Karat and Bindra's, Now Indian people can rest in piece without having lost face in the world, and without holding the feet of China and Pakistan. In elections I am sure each one of these traitors will loose their security deposit.
We all know many politicians are sucking blood out Indian democracy and economy. The democracy in India is NOT a total failure because it has several strong fundamentals in it. There are several public servents who still serve the nation without self interests. Don't simply treat everyone alike. We do have many Mayawatis and Laloos but also Manmohans though they are few. Not every person is after money. Before branding such people as corrupted, think twice.
Regarding nuclear deal, I strongly support it. With recent globalization, and due to growth spurt, we started noticing the need for drastic infrastructure. People living standard has gone up, power consumption levels gone up...Considering the present and future requirement, I think any sensible govt would go for this deal. I don't understand why people link poverty , inflation to this deal. Though all these are govt responsibilities, we can't say NO nuclear deal because of high inflation. Unless we foresee the requirements and react in time, we can't meet infrastructure demands. Those too nuclear power plants will take decades before becoming operational. So this is certainly a good thing done by govt.
You say "Any supply agreement has to be between the supplier and us so we will have to build in". And then you go on to say..
"Article 52c provides for us to first raise this as a material violation". So Australia refuses to give us Uranium. a) How will you keep filling your "fuel bank" b) If fuel supply agreement is between supplier and you, and IAEA does not attend to that matter, what will your "raising material violation" give you?
How much has been deposited in your Swiss bank accounts so far? Or how many plots in Mumbai for you?

What if Saudi Arabia refuses to sell oil to you? You go to UAE, Venezuela, & if the entire OPEC decides to stop fuel supplies, you still look for non-OPEC sources. I nobody is willing to supply oil to you, you start producing a huge number of cycles, bullock-carts etc.

Hey Manoj, Get out from here. You are talking like a shit. SOudi Arabia has to sell oil, otherwise they will not survive. You are asking a question same as if your father did not f**k your mother, you did not born. So in that case to save your mother virginity intact your father should depend more on the technology so that you could be born through test-tube baby by the use of technology. Use of technology test-tube baby also give country lot of investment opportunity, isn't that true ?
I am not sure if it's good business for India. nearly 20 years ago i attended a National Symposium held at BARC, Bombay and there was tight security check before they took us on a tour of the reactors. Now, every Tom and Uncle Sam will 'inspect' our civilian reactors! I'm not sure the common man understands the IAEA safeguards or the 123 deal. But, he sure feels the pinch of rising prices and inflation: the prices of essential commodities like rice, wheat, cooking oil, dal have risen by 30% in 3 months and inflation is touching 12%. It will be a shame if there will be hunger-related deaths in the country.
This is only a good business for US. It is like a "poor man" though a cooking expert, being lazy, eating in 5 star hotels, not bothered how much he has and then sweeping floors of those big hotels to repay.

You have an option, go back to villages without electricity, use bullock carts, poor men dont need electricity. Pay for it & you will get power. How is paying through your nose to those Arabs is a nice thing & paying US or any other western country for nuke power is wrong?

Hey Manjoy, you are big idiot. why poor people do not need electricity? You are alive because of the people living in the village , cultivate crops, and hypocrites like you live eating those foods. So, you are entitled to get electricity, not the poor people living in the village? people like you should be washed out, good for the country and society.
I have some questions-can our respected National security advisor and foreign secretary answer my question? At present we have 22 Nuclear power plants-14 of these plants will not be direct supervision of theInternational Atomic power organisation? Have we not declare to USA for which plants India is taking raw materials? Will any country allow or disclose to others of their high security secrets? Will we be allowed to use our Natural resources without restriction? What will happen if India does Nuclear Test?

Do you seriously believe there is any information in our country, which USA needs, which they dont already have? Face it, when IAS officers are caught red-handed for being CIA agents, they already know everything. When you know you dont have anything to hide, just accept it.
