What good is it?
by James Bond on Aug 01, 2008 11:24 PM

I am not sure if it's good business for India. nearly 20 years ago i attended a National Symposium held at BARC, Bombay and there was tight security check before they took us on a tour of the reactors. Now, every Tom and Uncle Sam will 'inspect' our civilian reactors!
I'm not sure the common man understands the IAEA safeguards or the 123 deal. But, he sure feels the pinch of rising prices and inflation: the prices of essential commodities like rice, wheat, cooking oil, dal have risen by 30% in 3 months and inflation is touching 12%. It will be a shame if there will be hunger-related deaths in the country.
