Its 2:47 am , normally everybody would be sleeping, but Iam right here to write something which I felt is not at the mercy of the time. I just came home after watching the movie APNE and felt like writting this.
Hats off to Anil Sharma for brining in all the deols together.Fantastic performance by all in volved and what shall I say DHARAMji ... HE ROCKS. You laugh with me, u get angry with him you shed tear with him. He makes you do all this with him. He is the crowning glory of the movie. Rarely seen an actor of his genre enacting so many emotions in such a convincing way. YOu can feel his anger his grief his frustration and love for his sons. Truly mesmerising.
Bobby puts in a decent performance and in the first half Sunny left me wondering what is he there for ? But man the scene in which Luca challanges him gave me a goose bump.He machoism makes the anderline rush. After a long long time I cud see well groomed educated multiplex crowd actually enjoying whistling and clapping at various scenes. It was a welcome change from the normal routine movie where u watch the movie like septugenarian english cricket fan, with the gentlemanly cap on.Coming back to the movie
Coming back to the movie some of the scene are truly marvellous , the dharamji's breakdown scene when aryan leaves him, the sunny - luca encounter , sunny -dharamjis encounters.
Kiren kher as always does justice to her character and so as Katrina and SHilpa who though have nothing much to do . but they succeed in their attempt to add the glamour quotient.
THe title song is very heartfelt and used beautifully in the movie.
THe boxing scenes are well choreographed and are convincing.Though sunnies injuries should have been tone down a little and also his month stint should have been increased.
But there is a grave technical error at least it appeared to me so , in the opening scene when victor comes to meet Dharamji and speaks to him their is his dilouge in which he says "fight back with world ..hit it back ( smthing like this )" .. in that scene when he shows his punches his thumb is closed above his index finger , whereas it should be closed over all the fingers in the punch, in other words his punch is not like a boxer's punch and actual boxer will never show his fists like that. I dont know if anybody has noticed that ...but that is one thing that caught my attention.
After watching this honest attempt I suddenly thought of Jhoom Barabar Jhoom as I watched in the same hall.. this gives me an idea ... why not tie all these chopras and johars with rope and make sit and watch the true good movies of our genre, it enough from them how long will u fool the au
Dharmendra is rocking from first frame till the last the show belongs to our greek god dharmji. He is back almost forgotten stardom is back with the bang. Clealry a award winning performance at this age. Forget the bachchans watch out the deols they look more honest and real onscreen great chemistry where was this combination all this years. Wahtever people might say the movie is worth a watch for following reasons 1. High quality emotional drama by anil sharma 2. Great cenimaphotography 3. Technically brilliant 4. Great music by himesh especially the title song 5. Honest and emotional to the core
Lastly, full marks to the directors vision his story telling was unique and a tailor made for the deols.
i think deols r most deserving superstars of film industries.no srk no amir.
khans dont have charms and energies on their faces.they dont have heights which an actor posses.neither they can act except amir and irfan khan.bobby is rocking star wth charm on his face and gr8 body.

I don%u2019t think anyone else has played so many characters in Indian Cinema. The sad part is that he never got recognized for his work and he never got any awards either.
About Deol family, I think they are a family of Actors and Stars, and they need to work with some good directors now. The movie is superb, with a clean family drama. The only thing which let me down is himesh's music. I still wonder, why Anil Sharma choose him. He is absoutly failure as far as Apne is concerned.
May the 3 Deols keep the Sikh Flag flying high in Bollywood. They r the sole representatives of Sikhs in the film industry. Especially Sunny Deol. May God Bless them.
it is after many years that a movie has made me weep in the theatre hall. In today's new movies, films fail to make us emotional. It was only decades ago that films made one cry. It goes to the credit of Dharmendra that he has acted so superbly and proved that he is the best. Dharmendra, the legend that he is, is so natural in the film, it seems as if he is not acting but as if this all was happening in real life. He is most underated actor today and deserves a Film Fare award for best acting. Story is different from run of mill love or action thrillers. It is a must watch movie for families which is without any vulgarity. Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol have also left their mark in the movie. one gadar deol is enough infront of 1000 khans. Khans are made by indian, if not then they will be taangawalas
