No doubt ICICI Bk has grown as one of India's own private banks giving tough competition to PSB and the foreign banks. It also had huge NPAs and by the reverse merger process it managed to write off the NPAs. Probably it is catering to corporates rather than the consumers at large and hence so many reaction from the average customer like me and you. Surely they should be able to set right things.

Their ATM network might be widespread but mostly they have insufficient cash or they are down. Insufficient cash even when their withdrawal limit per day is Rs 25000 while other banks like hsbc give 50,000. They advertize it as 25000 but on 3 occasions in the past year, whenever I had to withdraw 25000, the machine never allowed me beyond 20,000. I tried 21000, 24000, etc but it will not allow !! Such cheats, they dont even advertize ethically ..
I can assure you in this process ICICI bank Home finance company has cheated so many retail customers. If they are at fault they will not reply. If it is the fault of customer they will put heavy penalty as they manage our accounts. The customer care depatment should be renamed as customer trouble department. I agree with you 100%. I have not had to opportunity to log on to Google, but there is no doubt that ICICI headed by Mr Kamat are cheats. They robbed my sister of her original home documents, never bothered to reply to upteen number of correspondence address to Kamat himself, when the matter came up in Court they had the cheek to deny having recd the documents .... I understand there have lost around 20 sets of customers' original property documents submitted at "Ashiyana" Thane and are plain cheating the customers to continue to pay EMIs without hope of receiving the original documents at the end of the day. When you stop paying EMI they take you to Court u/s 138 and when you challenge them they do not file their affidavit even months after their suing you. They just harras the customers. I would advise anyone not to trust their life's investment in this Bank. Sooner or later the truth will come out and this Bank is sure to fall big time. Valerie.
I am account holder of ICICI Bank, i would like to bring to the notice of the people the problem which i have phased with ICICI Bank I wanted to add my mother as my mandate holder for which i had applied, but my request for mandate holder got rejected, ICICI Bank didn't informed me about it, when after 2 months i enquired about the status about my request for Mandate Holder, that time ICICI Bank told me, my request was rejected on the following ground. 1. Address was incorrect 2. Ration Card as Identy proof of my mother is not acceptable. ICICI Bank says the need following documents 1. Certificate from the postal office confirming address of applicant either on letterhead or under office seal and signed by Post Master/ Assistant Post Master. 2. Printed Ration Card with Photograph of applicant. Now can anyone please tell me, whether we have Ration Card which is very old with photograph? Whether Electric Bill is not sufficient as address proof?

I faced the same with them. I changed my address and informed them about it. They wanted an address proof, and wouldnt accept electricity bill or anything else. How the heck can I give them a proof when I have just shifted, my driving license and passport etc still have my old address... it takes time to change address on passport.. in the meanwhile, my letters arrived at the old address
I am a account hold with ICICI since thier inception. Before commenting please use other bank facilities and then comment. Be it ATMs or Internet banking no one can match ICICI features. If you had the oppurtunity to use icicidirect.com and other sites you will know what features it offers. IF you dont maintain your minimum balance all private sector banks charge you like anything.
