ICICI is one of the banks that does unethical business. The service here is as worst as in government banks. It took more than 45 days to activate my account. One day very sure it will sink.

"One day very sure it will sink" I think you know very little about banking. Please see the news on 23June about the response to this issue. I think investors are a little smarter than you. This much money put in... Large & small investors are not fools!
Further, retail banking is only a part of the business.
Meanwhile, please go to Citibank to open an account... They'll ask for a minimum 1lac deposit. Or go to nationalized bank, you know what you'll get there. Or try HDFC / UTI / IDBI etc... they come with their own set of problems! Find what suits you best, instead of cribbing!

Every organnization comes with set of problems, leave alone banks. But tht does not give them any refuge while they render atrocious customer service.
As u pointed to Mr Ravikumar as not knowing much abt banking, lemme take this opportunity to state (mind u...I'm a banker) that ICICI indeed is playing an extremely risky game. U might put forth the age old adage "no risk, no return" but there is always a threshold upto which one must take the risks.
Now, whether it will sink or not is something to be seen but it is more certain than not that its sheen will erode sooner than later.

Have you ever used a credit card before?
I think no bank checks chargeslip signatures, it's the shopkeeper/restuarant who is supposed to do that...
And when there is a fraudulent transaction, you can dispute it. The bank will reteive the chargeslip & if the signatures dont match, the transaction is reversed.
Thats how credit cards work here in the UK. And that's how they work in India I am sure!
there is no proper response to customer, they suck blood and Mr Kamath has no control over it. go to any ICICI bank and ask for anything u can get there cheap response, they even dont have managed employee database, some of the ICICI home loan guys ask bribe while submitting cheque just hope less bank
This is one of the worst bank in my experience and i agree in most of the abuse which customers have reported. I wish there was some authority which takes some proof and feedback and throw this bank out.
Icici atm's store only Rs.100 notes. Max notes that u can draw from atm is 40. Hence 100x40=4000. each time u draw money from atm, charge is Rs.300/- if i have requirement for 20,000/- then charges for withdrawing money from my card is 1500 & service charges & taxes & god only knows what other charges... They never have 500's or 1000's. Cheat's

I disagree with this generalisation. I regularly withdraw from ATMs. Always get a combination of 500 and 100 or 1000 and 100 rupee notes. There is no charge for withdrawal.
it is possible Sunil that you have a credit card and do a cash withdrawal on which obviously there is a 2.5% charge I think (I have never withdrawn cash on my credit card)

Please post some useful things instead of such an illogical one - don't ever say u don't get 500's in ATM's... Also, if you don't have senses and want to withdraw money on loan from ur credit card, didn't u know all this before getting the credit card?? credit card interests are definitely high and that's true with any bank..why to pinpoint one bank?? don't blame a bank for ur inability to plan and spend.

Please put your money in Habib bank or the Al dawa trust, they pay literally Mind blowing interest rates
True. There is a hge growth of ICICI. But, it is all accompanied by a non transperent process of customer service,a negative attitude towards the customers, which results in to a feeling of being cheated.
Very strange. All the bad experience message are reported as abuse!! Looks like ICICI has hired some people to report as abuse. That's a good sigin. Hope they improve and fulfil the promises to its customers and belivers in Indian banks.
ICICI is hopeless bank. I am based in Uk. I have account with ICICI in India. Everytime ICICI bank reject my cheque. The reason they give is that slight change in my signature. I had never such problems with Uk banks. ICICI bank is fraud. They cheat their customers.

Ha ha why isnt ICICI bank halal enough for you?there is enough resentent against the UK banks and their hidden charges. Looks like you are trying hard to please the colonial masters by looking down upon a world class enterprise , just because it run by Indians. Try Habib bank, they are very good and they dont pay interest
