Credit Card problem not solved more than 1 year - heavy interests/ penalties charged
by PEDDINTI VENKATESHWAR RAO on Jun 12, 2008 10:47 PM  Permalink

On my credit card I have a nominal amount outstanding actually whereas Lambord has debited to my account and made it heavy since than I was writing e-mails & talking C.Care but in vain, meantime Credit card was debited with heavy interests / penalties / Service charges / Taxes and finally they made it 10K and more interestingly after reaching to 10K only they have instructed to my salary account with ICICI Bank to block my salary amount recently. It is clear now that ICICI min. requirement from any customer is 10K plus and not less than that because it will not redress customer problem if it is less than 10K.... Nice reputation by ICICI hats off to Mr. Kamath & to Govt. of India who is encouraging such persons with awards and rewards ..............

A Cheap Bank giving itself a pat to fool more people
by Guest on May 31, 2008 08:05 PM  Permalink

This bank has been known to cheat people (see Complaints board etc) and block them. Abuse people, take money out of NRI's accounts and refuse to give information on the guise of privacy - this bank is a joke.

The government should have put Kamath and every manager into jail - but I guess they get good deals. This award is a joke, only in corrupt India do we manipulate to this extent as no SHAME.

With Hsbc and Citibank I can do any number of ECS transfers a month, with this cheap bank its just one a month, then they charge.

They cheat people like no man's business.

In my case they have broken privacy laws and their suggestions are so careless I don’t believe it, no responsible company will.
I am in the process of taking criminal action against this Kamath and several managers of their loans dept.

Can you believe it; they took installments out of my account after it ended and now say my vehicle number does no exist in their database - when they gave the loan it did!

People dont waste time following their complaints process, its just to tire them down - issue letters, then a notice of criminal action and file cases against as many of their managers and include Kamath and the MD's of the dept you have a problem.

Rediff, please do not remove this on a fraud compalint from icici fron employee, if you do then we have no Respect for you and is a collusion with cheats. This is a true story, do you want detials another hundred people's.

NOT GETTING SERVICES OF ICICI BANK
by on Mar 30, 2008 09:15 PM  Permalink

Dear Sir / Madam ,

I am having current account IEC ( International Education Consultants ) ( 040305000694 ) in your bank (ICICI Bank )in branch Sector-35 , Chandigarh .

This is to inform your goodself that for the last 70 days I am visiting your bank to get some details but in vain .

In the month of Dec 2007 and Jan 2008 there are some money transctions in my current account . I requested to my bank to know the details of the money transctions ( transfer from Mumbai bank ) . Every time I visited and requested for the same , the staff members did not give proper information and they always gave an excuse that they had put up a email to the concerning person to get the details of the money transctions .
Even I have appraoched the manager at the bank a number times but he is also of no help to me and rather stated that if I really wanted good services then I should open a 'Priviledge Account with the Bank .A number of times when I was desperate to see him due to improper responce of the staff , he was not available in the working hours of the bank ( to give an example on 19th March 2008 he was not at the office around 6.50 pm ) .
have
The person who is handling my query now a days ( sitting at counter number 16 ) , also gave me vague answers repeatedly but no information for which I have been visiting the bank repeatedly.
To sum up briefly , I want the details of the foreign receipts and I have not been given the same even

ICICI BANK- fooling the customers
by on Mar 15, 2008 12:06 AM  Permalink

Case is simple- and the most common. Bank is not sending me my credit card statements on time(rather i had not recieved my statement from last 4 months) and taking the full advantage of slapping the late payment charges on me. i'm suffering from last one year. whenever i go to the bank, they have got a very amusing excuse- that "call up customer care for credit card quieries".... whenever i call up the customer care. they say that their server is down-- quite a coincidence.

Global giant???? Whom are you fooling??
by digvijay thakur on Oct 11, 2007 08:09 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

i guess this a nice article to make ICICI feel happy that they have become, what is written, a global giant(i dont agree and i am sure,so would many).
Mr. Kamath has sure come a long way and all credit to him for nurturing ICICI but are we not forgetting that the organisation is not one individual but it is the group of people working together towards a common goal that gives the picture to the world that we have arrived.
A global bank???
Read this..
I applied for a savings a/c which was activated after 45 days that too after repeated calling and much harassment. then they forgot to credit my account with the initial cheque payment which was cleared by my previous bank a long time back. when i called the customer care the personnel rudely informs me that i cannot ldge a complaint for a week after my account have been activated.
In nationalised banks(SBI, PNB) it takes not more than 4 days to activate an account.
Now you tell me is this a doing of a global giant???
Forget it nationalised banks are far better.
Just wait till the sector is open for foreign banks. No one will need an ICICI then.

see if at all today nationalised banks are coming up with net banking and ATMS it is becuase they are facing stiff competitions from ICICI.Before icici entered how much struggle we face to get one 20k vehicle loan from sbi.if you go to open an account there no one will look at your face.I have been banking with icici since 7 years and enjoying all their initiatives like salary credit sms, billpay, money transfer multicity cheque slips and all.I pay my insurance premium sitting outside india.I book my train ticket when i plan my tour with out standing in Que.who initiated this In india first.

Stingent Policies!
by Phani on Jul 22, 2007 03:15 PM  Permalink

I think that ICICI is providing good interest rates for the money invested into fixed/recurring deposits. But what about the interest they levy on the loans they offer?

The bank as an organization has been making a lot of money. The policies are so "stingent" to take every penny they can get from your money. The fact that they charge every ECS at minimum of 50/- is ridiculous. People who invest barely thousands of rupees, will loose all their profit here itself. Or is it the case that the bank wants to keep all the money of their customers WITHIN them?

Who am I to decide their fate.... I actually think its time that such a corporate bank starts doing well in India. But is it worth the expense?

by venkatesh rao on Jul 18, 2007 10:38 PM  Permalink

WHY ICICI BANK SHOULD TAKE 45 DAYS FOR A GENUINE CHEQUE TO BE CLEARED WITHIN A STATE .WHY CUSTOMERS SHOULD GET POOR RESPONSES FOR THEIR QUERIES?Many of the company(AT &S INDIA PVT LTD,NANJANGUD 571301,MYSORE DIST,KARNATAKA) employees are affected by this bank due to poor responses. MANYCASES ARE RECORDED .

Unnecessary and disturbing calls from ICICI
by junaid tanwir on Jun 19, 2007 02:52 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Being a home loan customer of ICICI bank since last two years, I am paying up the EMIs very well on time without any delay through electronic transfer from my account. As it was on floating rate, the bank increased by EMIs and started withdrawing the amount without informing me either through call or in writing. Though I kept on paying up the EMIs. This month they did not withdraw the amount from my account, therefore, I called up the ICICI collection agent and gave him the cheque of the EMI. After a few days I started getting calls from ICICI about my non payment of the EMI. I was amazed and gave details of the payment to the person on line. Now every alternate day I started getting calls for the payment.Though I payed up the EMI but nobody told me that my EMI was again increased hence you have to pay more. This I came to know after talking to some officials at ICICI Home Lone division at Lucknow. This was ridiculous as a customer with good credit history is getting calls every alternate days since last 10 days for non payment, without any fault of his, as the bank did not communicate to him in any mode about increase in his EMIs and harassing and disturbing him through calls.
