Its a good article by Dennis Snow, but I feel the 'salesperson' he was often referring to had more of a salesman's trait and machiavellianism in getting the 'customer' attention and catering to his needs and desires. A professional does more complex jobs that includes meticulous and knowledge-based approach to solving problems when others fail to do so. He/she(professional) stands unique in crowd and uses the right application of techniques and tactics in right time with a right attitude.
Every few days I come across an article on your home page which makes me want to share it with my friends and colleagues. The article from Denis is one such and I hope you guys keep up the good work that you have been doing thus far. Cheers and thanks a lot and keep them coming.
Grt denis, this article gives a clear vision to proffesionals specially in direct sales to rise above and make a difference by doing very basic and honest courtesy to customers.
Great Article! Thanks Dennis Snow for the wonderful article. But in practical you won't find professional behavior everywhere. Today meaning of professional is changing professionalism means being more of job oriented and maintaining relationship at workplace to do things and get things done. Human relationship has no room at work place. People don't recognize colleague as a friend but as a person in same cadre. This is all outcome of cut-throat competition and policies of companies to always try to keep the employees scattered and divided to exploit them more. This are my views which can be different from what others feel and see. Regards, Kelly Sharma

Nope! The education should go to the heart.Courtesy for example if superficial will wear off soon. The best educated person need not be a smart or great human being.
