Its a good article by Dennis Snow, but I feel the 'salesperson' he was often referring to had more of a salesman's trait and machiavellianism in getting the 'customer' attention and catering to his needs and desires. A professional does more complex jobs that includes meticulous and knowledge-based approach to solving problems when others fail to do so. He/she(professional) stands unique in crowd and uses the right application of techniques and tactics in right time with a right attitude.
