Please keep in Mind that it is a product for Malayalies in India and abrode and it has the taste which we like. If any of you do not like it then use the pickle or curry powder from your local companies. I am sure it is one of the best taste which we mallus like.
I have tasted some North Indian Pickles and curry powders they were horrible so I use only Kerala made good ones

I cant forget what Krishnan Menon did to India as the Defence Minister. Pls look around and tell when Keralities are the best in India.
Sir, Being an Indian from Kerala I am really very much proud of you. Now I am in Maharashtra. I heard about your Company and I really enjoyed your products a lot. But when i read your succes in business i want to wish you. All the best wishes. Keep it up and go ahead. Chandralekha Ayyar.
I really appreciate rediff to bring this news on this column...Even I am hailing from the same Adimali, very close to Meeran Ikka's(thats how we all call him) house and are family friends...We all should really appreciate his hardwork and principles of life which brought him up till this level.
I used to go to his flour mill during my childhood and its really amazing the way he built his brand...
Wishing him and the company the Best of Luck for more achievements..
I appreciate the hardwork and application of principles that have taken Eastern to where it is now. But inducting one's own son and augther is something I am not inclined about. Even though family business has done well in industries like Machine Tools, it remains to be seen how a young 25 year old starts barking out orders to a 55 year old experienced man. Thi9s is despite the fact that almost all Japanese machine tool companies are family owned and run.
Anyway I appreciate Mr Meeran's guts to run a factory in Kerala. For that, he should get some award.

mind your own business. if your father was a businessman, you would surely have accepted a Director's post.

The question is not whether one has the normal share of human wickedness or what one would have done if put in a particular situation. The question is whether there is a better way or not. I too strongly feel that children of rich businessmen should be given opportunities for development but should not be spoonfed.
As Warren Buffet once said, "I want to give my kids enough so that they could feel that they could do anything, but not so much that they could do nothing".
This does not take away from the fact that Meeran developed a great brand from nothing.

The son is most probably an investment for the future, when he will not be physically able to attend the office.
That he is foresighted is also shown by the fact that future factories are all being located outside Kerala.
I concur with Suresh in that he has shown the guts to run a factory in Kerala. He defnitely should be rewarded for his bravery.
I couldn't understand by your statement " he has shown the guts to run a factory in Kerala. He definately should be rewarded for his bravery."Kindly clarify.
What tat line really means is the fact tat its excruciatingly difficult to run a factory in a pro-communist state of Kerala (pls do not compare with Buddadebs governance!!)..Labor problems..hartals and strikes are quite common...but atleast the conditions are improving...Am from the state of Kerala..so u all can mark my words on this...Hats Off to Meeran Ikka...

because, the moment a foundation stone is laid for a factory, the union would start demanding Bonus...that is the type of workers and union you would get in that Nariyalpaaniwala's state
He deserves a place in this columns.I recollect the first appearance of Eastern advertisements in our neighbourhood in Cochin in the mid 80s and watching the steady growth. Congrats
this shows how the local brand can deal with majors once the opertunity is spotted and chance is taken.eastern as a brand has made its impact and this is a example of how youngsters need to think rather than running after a job which is regular
