IT companies..
by Hardik on Dec 08, 2006 11:30 PM  Permalink

Hi to all,
For attracting big companies..their employees' willingness to work in that city also plays a major role.I have talked with one of the big IT compemployee..He said the employee outside of gujarat dont want to come in ahmedabad..he also explained some reason behind that, not good atmosphere(weather) to work like a pune(known as green city) , no other big companies presence so that they can see if other company's model work successfully, no permission for wine(which is very much needed for foreign deligates & many of employees which r frm out of gujarat)....etc..
But there r some good knews also,,In four or five big IT companies which are regularly visits gujarat's campuses for recruitment, have now large no. of gujaratis in that company.Take an example of Syntel(A US based company) they r havin atleast 100 gujaratis...& 70 more have been selected this year(which will be join company in next july)..likewise for infosys..a large no of gujaratis..70 are already there&110 alone selected frm Nirma campus this year(which will be join next year)..Almost all of these gujaratis want to come back home city..so,perhaps we can say that these giant companies have to come in GUJ,in2-3yr

ITs really required !!!!
by Krunal Golwala on Nov 23, 2006 10:45 AM  Permalink

Hi

It's good that gujarat is coming up with IT industry.
I think it is really required in gujarat.
Now a days so many students from gujarat, they are doing job in out state. It is really very hard to settle down in out state.

I think gujarat government need to do something for IT industry in gujarat.

Now it is time of gujarat to grow up with IT.

Labera,

Your comments are nothing but crap. Absolutely crap. You must experience the things before commenting on them blindly as you did. If you comment without experience, you look like a fine arts guy trying to comment on an open heart surgery or vice versa.

Gujerat, the next IT hub?
by labrea on Nov 12, 2006 12:05 AM  Permalink

Only this "unbaised' rag sees nothing wrong in printing such biased articles - "because of liquor prohibition, night life is safe and people can freely roam about till midnight" - writers' own description of Gujerat. I take it that they are both teetotalers and are implying that people who drink are criminals who make the state 'unsafe'? And what happens after midnight - is one 'unfree' to roam about? As for being cosmoplitan, such medieval, chauvinistic clap-trap mught be enough to keep Guj a society of luddites. I guess Gujerat deserves the Modis of this world - they'd feel right at home.

Great Gujarat
by Dinesh on Nov 11, 2006 09:05 PM  Permalink

It is a state which is a self developed, although too many uncooperative neighbouring states. Totally unfavoured state of central government. Thanks to the principle of S E L F R E L I A N C E said by Mahatma Gandhi. Thanks to the business brains of Gujarat..... Tuje Salam.....

Well written article
by Sunil Mishra on Nov 11, 2006 04:47 AM  Permalink

This is an article written by people with their feets firmly on the ground. This reinforces the fact that there is definately more to gujarat than the canard that the airconditionized media spreads about the state. This should act as an eye-opener to the people who know little about the state. Well done guys & rediff.com.

Interesting contrast
by Joe Manavalan on Nov 09, 2006 05:43 PM  Permalink

It was indeed interesting to read a positive article on Gujarat. I was quite surprised till I saw that it was written by real people and not someone from the media. Guess this is another proof that there are two India's, one creted by the media and another of the real people!
