Congress, the so called SECULAR party,is very gud at learning, particularly things which r benificial for them. They learned DIVIDE & RULE from Britishers, implemented it & enjoying the benefits. They call thmeselvs SECULAR & this is how they r showing their secularism by dividing common man on the caste basis. Well done Arjun Singh, well done Congerss. May GOD help INDIA from these political DEVILS.
The 49.5% reservation for SC/ST & OBC will do no good for them. Infact its giving them message as not to work hard bcoz anyway they'll get a seat thus taking them far away from hard work & good knowledge. So please Mr. Minister save INDIA.

listen mr verma. better mind ur language! i dont understand why only brahmins have to be blamed? i am a brahmin and i dont believe in casteism. i have many friends who belong to SC, ST and OBC. and i never discriminate against them. they are to me as my brahmin friends are.
The basic idea behind the reservation is the inhuman exploitation of backward tribes by the so called superior members of Hindu community itself.We muslims and other minorities never exploited them so why we are given punishment for things that we have not done?We treat everyone equally so why our seats from the government institutes is going in quota. So Mr. Arjun Singh if you want to do justice to backward communities why are you doing injustice to muslims,christians and other minorities who have nothing to do with the exploitation of backward tribes.Give them reservation if u want but only from the Brahmin and the Maratha seats and dont make us suffer.

Mr Sameer, Lets be a bit matured in hte time of crisis. You are displaying the same vulnerable attitude a weak person displays when in trouble. PLs. talk abt the issue directly than giving your own wrong notions and further dividing the country and anti-quota people in the name of minority and majority communities. Do you mean you will support the issue if you are also given the reservation for entry into premium institutions, without any kind of merit? I think that is very prejudiced and hypocritical. Just try to imagine a MD in Cardiology who happen to secure his seat through reservation operating heart of somebody very close to you. This is what going to happen because of these crazy politicians who can stoop down to any level to win elections.
WHY 50% why not 40 or for that matter, 60. 40 or 60 make no more sense than 50. did the authorities just pull a number out of a hat and decided to be 50% reservation?
And tell me, if ppl r getting admissions by reservations, is there any guarantee that they will at least complete their courses in time? as it is, their education is subsidised. Or is the govt planning to make passing at 15% marks for the reserved ppl.
The big question: is this type of educated individual acceptable to the world community?
Mr arjun singh, we need answers to these questions
if affirmative action is needed then why should the dominant castes among the 'backwards" not be excluded as they have economic and political power after independence? also there should be a cut-off point of 2-3% less for quota students and if this is not filled then the seats should go to non-quota students. to help the quota students make the grade there should be special coaching classes or maybe some of our well-known coaching instututes could get grants from the government for quota students. and lastly the children of i.a.s. officers and elected politicians should be debarred as well as those of judges and armed forces and police officers.
If the logic of reservation is extended to politics then in the elections, the candidates belonging to backward castes have to be given majority even if they had scored lesser votes than their OC counterparts. That will make the politicians relaise the trauma a student of OC has to go through.
Why the PM & Govt. wants "Quota" and Not "Merits"?? This Government and the Parlament don't Love India, they just Love their Money & want to enjoy being MINISTERS forever. Throw this Government out who is dividing India into QUOTA..
is it priveleged to be under privileged here now? i wud rather prefer Yale now , as they r not only giving scholarships but also ful financial aid, chuck srcc and stephens man!!
