This small book has a specific purpose: to help you quickly improve your job interview skills. Despite all the advances in hiring technology, most people still get hired%u2014or, more often, screened out%u2014based on a personal interview. Of course, you need the necessary job-related skills to be considered for a job, but how well you do in the interview often makes the difference in whether you get a job offer or not. But can you easily improve your interviewing skills? And if you can, will it help you get a better job than you might otherwise? The answer is %u201CYes!%u201D And this book shows you how. You can learn techniques to present yourself more effectively in an interview. Most people can dramatically improve their interviewing skills in a short time. My experience with thousands of job seekers is that just a few hours of learning and practice is often enough to make a big difference. You will learn more than just how to interview. Although this book emphasizes interview skills, it also covers how to get interviews in the first place, follow up after an interview, and negotiate your salary. You can find a good fit without being phony. Unlike some interviewing experts, I believe that you should tell the truth in an interview. I don%u2019t believe it is either necessary or good to manipulate a prospective employer into hiring you based on phony interviewing skills. I encourage you to identify the skills you have and then cle
'Be the change you want to see in the world.' SaiSuresh, this is for you to heed. Relocate to a village for one or two years. It does not have to be any specific village Relocate to a village in Tamil Nadu assuming you are a Tamilian. See if you can either rent and accomodation or own a plot there. Next, try to get a Bank to open a Branch in that village. Next see if you can get internet connectivity to that village. Hold classes in the local village school for village boys. Next, try to see if you can improve the sanitation in that village. On your daily wanderings in that village you will notice men women hunched over paddy fields. See if you can try to automate rice plantation in a paddy: http://web-japan.org/trends/science/sci051014.html
See if you bring a minute change in one SINGLE village in India. You are also allowed to take ownership of the change you bring with the following statement: "You see in such and such a village they have internet connectivity or some other amenity because of me". Let me know how it goes one year from now. Report back by posting an article in Rediff.

Dear Vishnu Sharma You have made an excellent point, one that has crossed my mind many times. I do hope to act on the thought. Thank you Sai
I couldnt agree more to this. When I see around myself, all I see is the "I-me-myself" attitude. Whether its on the road, or in queue @ passport office, or on the metro station or for that matter in any walk of life. Every vehicle driver on the road is in hurry..no one is willing to give side to the other person. All we want is the best for ourselves..even if its @ the cost of worse for 10 other people. In fact, from the begining itself we are taught to be 'jugadu'. And this 'jugaduness' is what is killing us as a society..as a system. Very rightly pointed out that, most of us actually keep on 'only' cribbing abt the system...but aint willing to take it upon ourselves to get into the system and clean it. I dont know when, but at somepoint in my life, I'll surely like to give politics a shot... because I really am passionate abt being a helping hand in making india...the india of our dreams. May be sounding a little too over the board...but I am sure, It'll happen.
SUBHASH CHANDRA BOSE was against gandhi's way of thinking and was agianst nehru. So Congress has forgot abt SUBHASH CHANDRA BOSE. BUT dont worry, everbody in india knows SUBHAS CHANDRA BOSE was a lion.
lion does not need respect from billies (cats) of congress, whose leaders only know SONIA GANDHI mantra and appeasing her.

Plz go through the "Times of India" Delhi Edition dated the 15th August'07. There is a special suplement titled "August Gathering" where they have elaborated about the "Makers and the Shapers" of India. Surprisingly enough, there is not a single word mentioned about Mahatma Gandhi. Indians are hypocrites.

You guys enjoy highest freedom in Non Muslim countries such as India than your own Islamic countries.
If you still feel you are deprived of something here, you know pls go to the country which was offered to you in alms - Pakistan. I think thats the right choice for you, you guys never do any charity to non muslims either. You are a burden to the society as well as nation. ... Step out !!

Thanks for your rightful assertion. Do you know that in Saudi (illegitimate fathers of all muslims)they tear our Hindu gods photos and trample on our religion symbols if we carry them to their country. Let Shabana Azmi and Mr Javed Akhtar apologise and tell Saudis to stop this. But no in their hearts these page 3 items are very happy to see Hindu women being raped by muslims. They are not Indians.

Who is responsible for that ? How can Hindus ever trust muslims ? Muslims are always waiting for an opportunity to backstab the hindus. History is the proof. Its upto the muslims to improve the relationship. In post godra riots, excluding police firing, 30 % Hindus were killed how can u explain that a 15 % minority can kill 30 % majority and still u guyz are oppressed ?

Well said. Whats the point explaining to these mentally retarded people who are short of one inch of skin and know the knife and blood (meaning violence) when they are 6 or 7 years old? They kill their own brothers (see Iraq) and even Aurangzeb killed his own father so obviously muslims do not know what love is. They love a goat for 6 months and suddenly kill it one fine morning. Confirming that one can never trust muslims. They are unsatisfied with one woman and need a horde of prostitutes to keep their itchy tools under check. They write the wrong way, wash hands the wrong way and look the wrong way and hence are sailing in the opposite of the normal world. So whats the point explaining to these zealots? They insult other relgions, bomb Buddha statues, kill peaceful nuns and oppress others in the name of their evil relgion. So whats the use? We are being rational to mentally obscure and retarded people who are not worth a dime. Damn them all. Hindus must unite against these satans on the earth.

Damn u sadat. If you are so unhappy here then just leave and go to your brothers in Pakistan or Afhanistani Taliban. Do you know that your saudi fathers tear our gods photos if we carry to Saudi and trample upon our religions symbols and that too in the so called land of allah? Shame on you to live here and eat here and criticize us. You are ungrateful people who fool the Hindus living here. name one country with 70% population and being denied the relgion of choice. But Hindus have given this respect to you and in return you screw us. Shame on you. You are the most ungrateful people in the world and people know this now. Try to live in peace or be prepares to be annihilated from the earth. All know now that your faith is evil and that you worship satan. You have lost the battle. While your religion is OK, the followers have misnterpreted the words and your priests have done injustice. Shame on you. Look at Bangladesh where Hindus have been finished or Pakistan where police give sweets for every Hindu girl that is raped. Shame on you. Never again say such a cheap thing. Shame on you.
I think the system has failed us. The pprest of the poor have the most children. We do nothing on the basis that each individual has the right to decide. What about the right of the unborn child to a decent upbringing? Sanjay Gandhi's was the last serious attempt at population control. Sometimes too much freedom is a curse in many ways.
Pkl. Afternoon, 3.30 pm, Wednesday , Aug.15, 2007. I do find truth in what the above Angst expresses, at unredeemed sunken life dreams of millions of our famished Kids seeking Alms, while the Nouveau -Rich are screeching, blaring noisying as Road Hogs in the super-markets of Metros. Children of lesser God! are they ? At 73 i still read and write as I used to do as hard-working classroom -instructor in 5os of past century at Allahbad one of the few centres of Raj elite. Ever since , I have kept the routine. Although i have with despair keenly felt , the corrupt flunkeys have always thrived under past feudal-Ages, under Firangis and now under false WOGS votaries of all Nehruvian Modernity. The small town rurals, sick , illiterates, Harijan boys or girls have dices loaded against them ,all the time , urban Harry-potter and Mills &Boon cliches chucklers seem to be the destiny of our Bharat that is only slick Conventised Urban India nay Metro -Slickers and NGOs and NDTV, despite ritual sloganeering for the poor by all politicians, make Shining India. For myself , I do try to lessen alienation and food-needs of the poorest working men, women and Kids in, whatever ,small way I can , and would shun all publicity that is all D. Goel

Mr. Goel, Please stop writing in Victorian language, that used to work in your time. It's really hard to read. People are trying to speak / write English in a _simple_ manner. No need to obfuscate the language.
