I have had a home loan with ICICI and last april in 2007 i had a bounce, which i paid within 7 days. To my surprise i have not even been alerted by the bank that there were some extra charges to be paid by me, after a year suddenly when i applied for a car loan it gets rejected saying you have 12000 rs outstanding with icici and is shown in cibil. i had to go to icici sort the matter and pay 12000 for no fault of mine when this money could have been collected last time itself and should hav hardly been around 1-2 thousand. I have never ever had any problems with HDFC or HSBC but this bank and their staff sucks !!! They never sent a mailer, no intimations, no calls to a customer who is a senior exec, had taken a 43 lac loan for which in 20 years tenure they would earn 3 times of it which means they are to earn around 60-70 lacs from me in 20 years. and to such a customer they cant spend 60-70 rupees in a year to keep him updated of his home loan account. Its really sad and the RBI is sleeping to what Mr. kamat is doing

You should only borrow from Nationalized banks. They may not have five start offices but they have a heart. Also, please remember the offices that you fall in love with because of their five star decor have all come from the charges that you paid to these banks.

Let me assure you, the service in nationalised banks absolutely sucks!!! The whole appearance is so unprofessional, of course, it is improving a bit now, but there is a long way to go. Its all on personal experiences.

You people want every thing spoon fed; You are not even bothered to read the document which you are signing; Just because an agent of the bank comes to your door knocking your ego is stoked and you do not even care to ask to speak to the manager of the branch. You are signing for documents which say you have to pay lakhs of rupees to bank and you do not even wonder why these people are nice to you. The scenario which you call unprofessionalism by nationalized bank is actually honestly. Just wait till you get a nice punch from these MNC jokers. Then you will start singing praises of PSU banks.

Prudent observation; MNC banks and private banks massage your egos and you fall for their theatrics. Then they will fleece you and defraud you with or without your knowledge
All these BANKS are also judged you on area basis and even if you do not have bad credit history because of your negative area you are bad so why looking for loan from them just try to earn as much as you can by following the login to syed0906dotcom please replace dot with . thanks follow instruction and start earning
These banks are doing this purposly. First we all knew about their Criminal side also - Using Gundas etc.. . I strongly feel Our Govt. Should take more strong action against these Banks, We are all the real citizens of this Great Country. At present I'm haveing a serious problem with ICICI Bank. About 4-5 years I was a good customer for them Never misused anything nor defaulted, Still they started harassing me. I'm continueing the account only because my company wants it for salary purpose. In Feb '08 they offered me a loan on credit card saying "I'm one of the best customer, that time I was in need for money for some business, and accepted it. First Emi payment was on 08May'08, But their collection offices started harassing me from 3rd week of Apr'08. And 5-6 Cus. Care manageres communicated to me and all gives different stories and figurs, also collection office calls also gives different figurs. We can understand from their these kind of actions, that this they do intentionaly, to create a picture that the person is a defaulter, and claim different ,different intrests, . Also they have one more dirty hidden agenda, when a customer deposits a chq. in a collection box, what proof he have - nothing, they are not crediting this for a week or so, then they claim the party as a defaulter and clear the cheq.and claim interest also.
First thing Govt. should make a rule all ltd. and Pvt.Ltd Companies salary accounts should go through only Nationalised Banks. Because these Pr
I had problems with a Citibank card after they charged me for a purchase I did not make. After much harrassment, I paid the amount to them even though it was not my fault just to get rid of their collection agents. They gave me a clearance certificate but still reported me to CIBIL. If anyone can know how to get the record removed, please inform.
RE:Citibank has the worst record

I think Citibank is one of the worst banks around. Even though we look down upon the services provided by our own nationalized banks, they are alot better than these goondas. I had taken a car loan from citibank in 2002 for 5years and paid it in full in 2007. When I asked for NOC they came up with an outstanding amount of 1600. God knows from where, which they increased to 1900 in a weeks time. And when I went to pay it it was finally increased to 2370. Finally I was told that I had some citibank credit card dues which I had to pay to get the NOC for my car. And now the best part of the story. I DON'T HAVE A CITIBANK CREDIT CARD, NEVER OWNED A CITIBANK CREDIT CARD, NEVER APPLIED FOR ONE AND NEVER SIGNED FOR ONE. But still, just to get over with it I sent the money. And now again I bought a new car and this time I took a loan from State bank of Patiala, Gurgaon Branch. Trust me guys, I got the loan cheque in my hand in less than 24 hours and the guy dealing with the car loans was pretty helpful. I just could'nt believe it. For me now no more of these ICICI's, HDFC's, CITI's etc. I would prefer any nationalized bank over them anyday.
I have taken a vehical loan from Bajaj Fin and made a prepayment of full loan about 4 months earlier, just that i had some bounced cheques, the amounts of which I had paid in cash on time to financer, even I was reported like what how is mentioned about. What can i do about it? How can I get my credit history corrected with CIBIL? Whom should I contact to solve my problem?
I applied a personal loan in icici bank that got rejected based on the my previous home loan owner defaulted in their bank. My credit record is very well with all the banks, I don't know how am i responsible for their credit.
All these credit card companies at times don't send statements and then call for huge penalties and transfer ur names to cibil. Actually there is no regulator in Credit cards and nor is public united. Boss we have face all these problems till we are not united. The day we start uniting the credit card companies will have to bring down their interest and penalties and become absolutely customer oriented which they are not today.
The said organisation is not effective as the banks never update the agency on time regarding the credit history of a person. My freind is suffering for the same as SCB has mentioned his credit history to CIBIL and on the information the other bank rejected his loan whereas the said person has the no dues letter from SCB dated December 2006 prior to the CIBIL got in force. It is rediculous as no bank in the country would ever admit its mistake and the customer is always a sufferer if genuine and no bank can recover its money from a non genuine borrower.

The only remedy you have is to approach the local office of The Banking Ombudsman, RBI. You can find the address that applies to you from the RBI website listed under the Banking Ombudsman Scheme. This address is different for different regions of the country. Send their office the complete details with a copy to Head of Customer Care at SCB and I am sure SCB will respond to your query, otherwise they just sleep over all complaints.
These foreign banks in India like Citibank, HSBC or Indian banks HDFC, ICICI are managed by Indians and here the problem lies because of their narrow mindedness. First they force you to take credit cards with spending limits far more than ones repaying capacity and after the customer defaults they use all arm twisting techniques to recover the money and finally after the settlement has been done they report bad credit history to CIBIL or whatever it may be, in my case it was a software named Satyam. Once your name appears there you are hold on ransom of the banks and other banks will not give you loans and the banks which reported your credit history will ask for exorbitant sum to withdraw your name from defaulter's list. One of the most pathetic and biased way to maitain credit history. Sometimes I feel private money lenders are far better as they have some principles in business
Recently I had applied for Personal Loan from IDBI. And they simply reject on the pretext of bad report of CIBIL in one of the credit card payments. But the details of the cards are not available with them. I simply request to kindly look into this by the Government and made a substitute arrangement for this. So that the needy peoples can be help out.

Dennis John must be the one and only person who gives a clean chit to ICICI. Kamath & Company must have made mkillions and left many millions feeling cheated. When RBI increased interest rates, ICICI is the first to increase and when RBI recommends lower interest rate, the last person to decrease is Kamat & co. of ICICI. Don't ever trust ICICI
