Common mistakes while sending a proposal to a client
by dibendu joy verma on Mar 26, 2007 10:05 AM  Permalink

1.you had sent an enquiry-if consultant does not reply that means your enquiry is not his cake and as a business ettiquete,no response is more acceptable than a written rejection of proposal.
2. Someone calls u frantically, that means he is in need of work or thinks the opportunity to be lucrative. Give an ear to everyone may be it proves out beneficial to you too until you are sure that it is a real waste of time and energy.
3. Someone asks the details of project -is justified as most of the times the initial data submitted is too less informative for even taking a decision whether to accept the proposal or not.
4. Cost effectiveness is the base of Indian economy & business hub. it is better to be cheaper rather than evading taxes. it is the client to decide what he wants as most of the consultants basically want the project to be economically viable but if u have a great budget let consultant know. The investments are from the pocket of the investor and not consultant!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PERHAPS I FEEL THAT EVERY ANALYSIS HAS TO BE BACKED WITH RHYMES AND REASONS.BUSINESS MANAGEMNT IS MULTIFACTORIAL.IT IS ONLY THE CORPORATE LEGACY THAT IS FIXED!!!!!!!!!
PERSONAL EXPERIENCE DONT MAKE THE BUSINESS HUB GUIDELINES.RATHER THE PERSONAL EXPERIENCE SHOULD BE RETROSPECTIVELY ANALYSED TO MAKE THE PROESPECTIVE PROJECTS MORE FRUITFUL.

The problem with todays youth is that they think it is their birth right to reach their dream goals and dont work towards it. The employee CTC is increasing day by day. This is not due to shortage of man power or a booming economy. It is primarily due to youth waiting for some employer who is desperate to hire some tom dick or harry to meet his deadlines and ready to go to any length to rope in people without checking their credentials and pay them many times their worth. I remember a few decades earlier, my father used to ask prospective typists type their Job application on our office typewriter to judge his typing skills and writing skills. I can boldly say that our typists in those days had better langauage skills than 99% of the MBA's and other professionals who draw fancy salaries. I agree that a person should not be entirely judged only on his knowledge of english. But we need to also understand that a person with poor english is a poor learner as 15-18 years of formal education has not taught him anything.

by ShivCharan Panjeta on Feb 01, 2007 04:36 PM  Permalink

Yes , these lessions are equally applicable to post proposal process as well. Client may loose internet in you at any time during the project if you start ignoreing these lessions.

Thanks Deeksha ,
