recruitment procedure.
by ashish shekhar on Jul 10, 2006 02:03 PM  Permalink

The current recruitment process of Infosys (and many other IT companies) is unfair to many candidates who are not able to score good marks just because their university/board policy.

1. Infosys should have a good recruitment test both in tech and aptitude areas so that not so bright candidates are automatically eliminated.

2.There are many engineering colleges (apart from IITs and NITs)which apply strong filter while selecting candidates (eg most of the state engineering colleges). This is generally ignored while selecting candidates and the candidates are treated as per with private college candidates where getting admission is rather easy.

All this is possible only when you have a strong HR team which takes care of these factors.

What about constant Marry Go Round?
by Dinesh Thakkar on Jul 10, 2006 01:02 PM  Permalink

Dear all,

well, i was enthralled reading the mail about Infosys hiring but soon was saddened thinking how about the "Marry Go Round" of the employee? whether it is considered as big thing by the HR Head or not? I guess retaining human capital is more important than hiring new ones and making it much talked hype.
Let them peep into the attrition rate of people.
Now when HR Head is going to look into policies i hope there will be a brake on attrition to a greater extent.
