Umpires are human beings. Then why should they decide on something they cant clearly see. By hearing a sound, the umpire raised his finger instantly. The ball had just brushed the shoulder which was evident from the replay. Yuvraj is a very decent person and would have walked out himself if he was out. But iam surprised why our umpires do not even think for once while deciding the fate of the batsman. Even the code of conduct for umpires is clear that if there is a doubt, the benefit goes to the batsman. Sachin has been a victim of hasty decisions by the umpires. The english umpires i feel are better than this sahiba and shastri and i feel they are biased against our own players. Itni bhi mehman nawazi theek nahin bhai

Suresh Shastri seems to be too inclined to give decisions against Indian players. There were far too many incidents in the past and even in the fifth and final ODI. He rejected many legitimate LBW appeals by Indian bowlers. But look at the decision given against Gambhir. Cricket rule states that whenever the ball pitches first away from the off/ leg stamp and eventually hits the batsman on the pad, batsman should get benifit of doubt. In Gambhir's case, (1) the ball pitched much away from left hander's off stamp, and (2) hit his pad above knee roll. My gut feeling is Suresh Shastri in his ambition to get elected in 'Elite Umpire's Panel' is giving deliberate decisions against Indians to prove his neutrality.
TV replay, showed there was no contact wth the ball at all. Nothing wrong telling that to the umpire. It is foolishness to fine Youraj, though it the mistake was from umpire side.
Ab Ye Lo !!! Ek to Chori..uper se seena jori !!!! Slapping fine will not make the wrong decision as right one !!! this particular Rule of ICC C&C can potentially give official authority on Umpires to hiject the match and park right in the parking garage of the Bookies...Does the ANTI-CORRUPTION TEAM of ICC lestinging?????
I think Umpire Shastri is the worst umpire i have ever seen... In every match he gives some or other wrong decisions.. which turns the match.. if he is reading this then its better if u take retirement..
I agree with Match referee's decision but the fact remains same that he was not out. Iwould like to suggest ICC to give fine even to the Umpires for their WRONG decision because on their decision the entire match results can change. ICC need to take actions against the Umpires too..

I agree with you. Why cannot they refer such decisions to the 3rd umpire?
Hmm. I have read most of the messages on this forum. And each one them have only the umpiring to blame. I am not pro yuvi or anti Suresh. While I fully justify the emotions of the fans, let us look at another extreme. Two cases. 1) What would have been our reactions to the same umpire, had he not given a player (say Yuvaraj)out when he actually was out. 2) What would our reaction be if the same umpire actually gave an opposition player (say Shoaib Malik or Yousuf) out when he was actually not. Here are two instances that will just say that an umpire is just another human being. But yes, when technology is available, and if put into full use, then why do we need an umpire??? A million dollar question.
ICC should fine Mahanama and the umpires for making wrong decision. The wrong decision costed us the match. There should be a change in ruling. BCCI should protest as such wrong decisions change course of game
It is clearly unpire's mistake. Had he not given out, (which is true, as the bat did not touch the ball, as shown repeatedly in replays ), result of the match must have changed. Umpire also equally guilty in this case .Why he went scot free? and Yuvi alone was finalised. Clearly one sided jusgement by the Third umpire
