chappel vs ganguly
by metilda on Sep 28, 2005 01:27 PM  Permalink

The bcci review meeting and its outcome is really a shame.Instead of analysing the root cause and taking corrective action against ganguly, the bcci has agin proved it runs on the whims and fancies of the politician dalmiya. It is a sad day for all of us and a dishonour to the truthfull and sincere chappel. When are going to change.GOD help us.

Chappel V ganguly and BCCI
by DR BRAIN on Sep 28, 2005 01:24 PM  Permalink

Dear Mr Paniker,

May I take this opportunity to remind you of missing

one point which is highly important for any sportsman

Faking injury and MENTALLY UNFIT. Let us take one by one. This gray man have been looking after a professioanl footbal team in England on medical and

fitness section. You will appriciate football require more strength both physically and mentally particular-

ly in professional arena. It takes us month with multi-

ple scientific tests to identify different level of physical and mental fitness. It surprises us to read

Mr Graig Chappel a great cricketer made such an accross the board statement without having any scien-

tific evaluation proff with him.In my experience any

sportsman can not be fully unfit within eight weeks of

last competetive participation unless have had serious

systemic/organic disease which Mr Ganguly did not have

To assess mental fitness it takes months of psycholog-

ical tests to come to any conclusion not within few days.Whatever we gathered from the BBC sports news it

look to us the problem lie somewhere else and you have delt it very well.:WHO IS THE BOSS;Perhaps Mr Chappel wanted to eliminate the strong voice.

Who is more credible ?
by Yogesh Hasabnis on Sep 28, 2005 01:23 PM  Permalink

You mean Ganguly is a liar, Mr. Panicker ! Isn't it ? According to you a man who has led Indian cricket for 5 years with reasonable success has lesser credibility than the one who is around for not more than two months. Here is a man who talks about mutual respect between him and the captain and then within 4 days goes on to write an email to the Board complaining about the captain's attitude, mental instability etc. Is he more credible than Ganguly ? If Ganguly has so many shortcomings then why did John Wright never complain about Ganguly ? How could he manage to work with Ganguly for so many years ? Forget about who is a liar or who is more credible, but one thing is for sure. Mr. Chappell is a liability rather than being of any help for Ganguly and Indian cricket and one more burden/problem for Ganguly to take care of.

Is Chappell a liar, Mr Mahendra?
by Saikat on Sep 28, 2005 01:20 PM  Permalink

Simply, this was a battle between Australian Kangaroo and Indian Royal Bengal Tiger (injured?). Hope Kangaroo now successfully test the power of RBT in India.
BCCI plays a very expected role. But script was so weak. No body here is liar......all are STUPID! These BCCI members are fighting to save their own chairs. Now how can we expect a fruitful solution from them! Unfortunately Indian cricket lovers are not so ideate what BCCI think.BCCI and this so called advising committee members were playing with the sentiments of Indian cricket lovers.
Hope everything will be fine in future (?????).
GOD BLESSES INDIAN CRICKET!

Thanks.
Saikat

BCCI tamasha
by subhadip barman on Sep 28, 2005 01:16 PM  Permalink

Jokers warming the seats in BCCI has enacted another around of tamasha. BCCI is a stage and selectorsand office bearers are all actors, not just actors but comedians per excellence. How long will they continue to bring shame to the game in this country. When will the talented young guys get their due???? Is anybody bothered in this country????

Greg Chappell
by Rohit on Sep 28, 2005 01:15 PM  Permalink

If the Board President is saying Greg Chappell is a liar, then it is up to Chappell to quit. Why should Mahendra sack him? Or or are you suggesting that all Indians are direct descendants of Raja Harish Chandra and hence will never tolerate a liar?

Is Chappell a liar?
by k k jain on Sep 28, 2005 01:15 PM  Permalink

The real issue before the Indian cricket is to bring in new blood and retire the old guards who are solely surviving on their old glory and achievements.

The old gaurds are trying to stick on to the team by playing all types of games including politics. They are now more adept at these things rather then show of the skills with the willow.

Chappell was quick to grasp this real issue, and he tried to stop this. But he is not as smart and experienced in playing the politics as the old players are. He would therefore have to swallow his own words and continue as coach or quit.

It is the boards job to set right this problem. But the board is hotter bed of politics again. They would do nothing on the real issue.

With above situation, there is no way we can improve our cricket. The biggest sufferer in the process is the rejuvenation of cricket. We would continue with the same old guards and there would be no entry point for the new skills.

Mr. mahendra, ask yourself- who is a lier.
by Kedar on Sep 28, 2005 01:13 PM  Permalink

Can Mr.Mahendra prove that he himself is not a part of a bunch of liers ? Is Indian cricket is the paternal or maternal property of this bunch of liers.I think Indian cricket control board has behaved irresponsibly, stupidly and shamelessly. You can not make a serious and committed person like mr.Chappel, a scape goat just for favouring a group of people who believe that Indian cricket is their paternal property. The BCCI should be punished heavyly for their stupid act in the whole process and should be held sole responsible for the future down fall of Indian cricket, which is going to happen in near future. I am surprised that why general public living in Kolkata are not pelting stones at Mr. Ganguly for his poor performance over last three years. was not Md. Kaif's house stone pelted in the past for his poor performance. General public who watch cricket can best judge Ganguly as an unfit player both physically and mentally. Mr.chappel has said a truth, and you jokers are mis behaving him. One has rightly said that Indian selectors are bunch of jokers. This statement has proved to be very right and appropriate.

Mr.ahendra, please ask your conscience, who is a lier.

Is Chappel a liar?
by Vinal Gandhi on Sep 28, 2005 01:11 PM  Permalink

The outcome of the meeting was expected. The BCCI is nothing but Ostriches burying their heads in sand when the strom comes calling.

I think the time has come for Indian people to take action. We should boycott all the matches whether in stadium or watching on TV, we should boycott all the goods advertised by the cricket players till the team and BCCI sees the light of rasoning.

Come to think of it, the present Indian team is indeed Team BCCI. It can never be Team India

Shutdown the BCCI Door
by sathish on Sep 28, 2005 01:06 PM  Permalink

It's simply they fooled the whole Cricket lovers.

Mahendra is saying that chappell is liar himself he knows he is giving only lie information to press ppl.

OK, I don't want to talk about the politics. In fact our BCCI was changed as political party from yesterday onwards. So from now onwards it's better a politician can give some comments about this.
