well if you were frm that community, then your view probably would be different. If not, you should be nominated for the nobel peace prize.
While I dont support destruction, I am strongly against people targetting communities, and that ass*wipe nitin (who probably is on drugs when he is not talking) needs to be handed over to the people in Siliguri.

Deepak, a person's comment can not be taken as view of the whole society. And what is the outcome of this violence? These so called idiotic fans harmed their own people, city, state and country. How does this punish the RJ?

Secondly if a community was to be targeted, PT would never be an Indian Idol.

You might find people talkind shit about Delhites in Siliguri, would you hand them over to anyone in Delhi?

Grow up kid, and do not justify this chaos.

Dude, if someone talks ill about your community, then you remember what you just wrote.
If you can read clear, you will realise that I too did not support violence. But that's a way of life in India. When all countries are going a step forward, we take two steps back (one due to the ruling party, and the other due to the opposition party).

If someone said ill about my community, I will kick his butt. But I would for sure not lose sanity and start pelting stones and burning public property. Someone speaking low of my community will make me Mad but will not make me a Fool.

No onehas right to make any racist comments on anyone ... Its radiculous particularly the North Indians make lot of noise if they are treated sameway in USA or UK..

If you cannot praise someone, you have no right to insult even .. Serious action should be taken against the careless A55H0LE who said whatever on the responsible platform

This is the first time we see someone from Northe East making some mark .. India has totally ignored this region of the country

Nothing wrong in protesting. And I agree that RJ did wrong on radio.

But violence can never be good and must be condemned.

You brought up Indians in North America. I don't recall a single one going violent like this.

Will the A55HOLES also compesate the losses they incurred to the shopkeepers and vehicle owners whose propertey and vehicle they burned ?? Those vehicles and shops were not owoned by the RJ, so why should someone else suffer????

Its like this someone in my native town abuses me on radio or TV, therefore I get angry and where I live in that city or town I burn my neighbours houses and cars!!!!!!! the Actions are that stupid and dumb.

Sir .. I assume you are not in India.
In which case, send a stinker to Bal Thackeray, calling him something, and then watch from your living room.
Ambulances will burn.
This is India, greatest democracy in the world, and the oldest civilization (truly), where convicts get months of time just because someone did not prepare some freakin judgement, and while others go around on the rampage.

His primary support was from Darjeeling district, Calcutta Police and Nepalis all over the world.

hat does not give his supporters rights to stop an ambulence.

Its politically manipulated. Don;t add fuel to it.

Difficult to do. Most channels engage in this because they make huge money with small investments. The operators too earn a cool sum.

The best will be to stop all SMS voting to remove any bias or improper selections. China has banned SMS for such contests.

But then, very few channels in India will be interested to do such programs and give big prize money.

How logical is that?

India as a state has become soft, and now listen ONLY when violence is perpetrated.

What is the sense in this?

Some RJ in Delhi says something the why should one burn vehicles and shops in Siliguri ??

How can the action of burning sombody's shops or vehicles Siliguri resolve a problem when he has nothing to do with RJ who is happily sleeping in Delhi?

My sympathies are now with the RJ now. tommorrow I can say or write something stupid at a distant someplace , and people in Siliguri or Darjeeling will burn someones vehicles and shops..!!! Isnt that dumb??? Who is dumber? the RJ or the stupid mob who burns vehicles and shops of unconnected people???

This is what was said about the indians of nepali origin.....It might not matter to you but it does matter to our community......and let me make myself clear.....The protest was supposed to be a peaceful one....and was going as planned....before the stones were thrown at the protestors......and then the violence broke out....which was communal.....and if you have ever been to siliguri....you would understand the racial discrimination...over there

Hi Neil,
I really loved and enjoyed the performance of Prashant Tamang. Not for once did we think about his origin. All that you need is that golden voice, proper training, and the love of people and some amount of luck in life. We wish Prashant Tamang a bright future.

All I request the people to consider is this. There is space for humour in life. One makes fun of Laloo Yadav and others. Do Yadavs then have to be on the road carrying out such violent reactions? Same is the case with Sardarjis. Do they have to violently react everytime someone makes fun of them? There are n number of such jokes about Sindhis, Mallus, Madrasis, etc. Should we all take to violence then?

We need to take such things in a lighter vein.

I agree that it can be treated as a racist comment if its made in a one-to-one interaction. But one should learn to laugh at such things and move on.

Hi Gururaj,
I agree with what you say....and on what you Say...but if you are talking about the people who have been treated as foreigners for over 50 years...just because the language they speak is also spoken by a different country.....and considering the fact that the part of India that speaks that language (Nepali) was either different country (Sikkim) or was part of different country (Darjeeling), the remark doesn't remain a joke (Darjeeling was a part of India before independence)....And the remark could hardly be considered a joke anyways
