The main reason y this fiasco abt Chappell started was becoz Ganguly coming out in the public and telling everyone that Chappell wanted him to step down.Y did he have to do that? He was the one who insisted Chappell be made coach and then he comes out and says this. Was he demanding attention? Maybe chappell was just advising him and asking him to concentrate only on his batting rather than the additional responsibilty as a captain.Y come out in the media and cry abt it? if the players are coming to the media they should say everything not things in halves..Otherwise represent the situation with the board.Ganguly spelt his own doom and Chappell's as well..

Ganguly is from royal family. He has got influence so he never cared for players and players were afraid because he was dicatator. Dravid is calm and polite so players went on top of him. You might be clear guys.

The purpose of Chappel was not build a team for world cup. he wanted a Captain who is his puppet.. and he won.

Do u think a coach who was made one becoz of a player would want to spell doom for him..I don't think so..Ganguly wanted everything to go his way..There are two sides to a coin..See both sides

Ganguly did play poltics but poltics is in cricket since long time. It is the Ganguly who is most successful captain. He got output from each player , may not be at same time. When he was Captin.. the players in fields were looking different than today.

Ganguly is a good captain becoz players under him played well..Don'tcome up with crazy ideas that he led india to glory only becoz of himself.Let me give u the real statistics..Take World Cup 2003 for example..Against Zim ganguly went for 23 runs whereas Sachin and Rahul batted till the end scoring 88 and 43 not out respectively.India won..India against England.Ganguly out for 19 runs.Sachin 59 Dravid 62 and Nehra 6 wickets ensured India a place in the Super Six..Against pak. Ganguly 0 Dravid 44 not out Yuraj 50 runs.India won. These were the pool matches..Now super six.Against sri lanka sachin 98 sehwag 65. India won.Against nz ganguly 3 Kaif 68 n.o Dravid 53n.o.India won and went into semifinals and in the final 24..He played well against Kenya and Nambia..and in all this rahul dravid was a wicketkeeper..I don't think Ganguly contributed one percent.Check the records..Don't blindly support one player.

That's what I am telling.. Captain should perform but most important part of his job .. the players under him should perform well. That's the quality of a Captain.. he may not be successful as other players but he lead them on winning track.
Dravid has same players.. what happend? I am not big follower of Ganguly, but the truth is.. he is most succesful captain.

What can a captain do if the team members are not playing? u want dravid to dictate to them that he wants them all to score. They played well under Ganguly only becoz everyone was in form..Now they are not.No use blaming dravid..

ok ss answer one question..Ganguly was an aggresive captain agreed..Where is all the aggression now? He is with his ipod all the time..U mean to tell me that he will only be aggressive if he is the captain. What does that tell abt Ganguly??
Don't get emotional and all.. Just think logically and rationally and answer the question

It's all politics now. They are not together as a Team under Rahul and Greg. Now you are hearing....what Greg is telling, Sachin's reaction, Kumble'sreaction and many more will come.Indian team is not united. It is the Rahul who declare the inning when Sachin was close to 200. Rahul is very good batsman but he is right now lacks CAPTAINSHIP attitude. He took Virender to WC2007, why? Viru is good but he is out of form so get another one. Dinesh Kartik never got chance to play.He showed his form.
Rightnow, it's not Ganguly Sachin or else.. just India was out of WC2007 because of politics among team.

Very well said. These idiots cannot think and just parrot the same stuff.Ganguly was a super captain, super captain etc.He became a super captain because he had guys like tendulkar(in prime form not the current injured and limping one) and dravid who fought like crazy. He used to just show up to get the cup and pose for pictures with it and all these bengalis keep thinking he was the one who did it.
