Correct Answer for the above question: ISLAM destroyed all traces of BUDDHISM in Afghanistan. Today, 99% or more of Afghanistan is ISLAMIC. BUDDHISM has been wiped out. Their statues have been destroyed over the centuries. The few that could not be destroyed fell a few years ago. Minorities like Buddhists, Christians and Hindus were identified by a compulsory yellow cloth and mark on their houses. Ethnic cleansing similar to what we saw in Kashmir with Kashmiri Pandits from 1989 onwards was seen in Afghanistan.

Buddhist priest were traitors , they collabrated with Muslim Invaders for few alams.As all buddhist monks were used to alams & begging.They undermine their own floks just same what they are doing in mynamar.
