Why should anyone (UP/Bihari or anyone else) respect the ghattees? What have the ghaattees done to deserve any respect from anyone? Their language is primitive. Their dress sense is strange. For example their women wear lungis parted in the middle, and then the ghattees have the guts to make fun of the lungis of South Indians! Therefore, I believe that giving any respect to the ghattees is like appeasing an inferior culture. If we respect inferior cultures, pretty soon we will all become uncivilized just like the ghattees, and their ilk. In my opinion, left to its own devices, ghaattee culture, along with its people, will end up in the dustbin of history.

Marathi and primitive ? You are kidding. If Marathi women wear Saree parted in the middle, looks at how women from other states wear sarees. It is just like a lungee.
You guys won't become uncivilized by respecting Marathi culture, you are already uncivilized. I don't know which state you are from. But if you are from UP or Bihar , and you think you are civilized then think again. Ruminate, Mull over. And we don't want to turn our state into UP-Bihar. Nobody likes you.

why are you wasting your time with these bhaiyyas? When a dog barks let it bark, you dont need to bark back. We need to focus on what we, as maharashtrians, do in the future. I propose the following things a. Change the marathi script back to Modi. b. For ration cards, driving permits and all licenses issued by the state government introduce marathi speaking requirements. c. All taxi/rickshaw drivers must compulsorily speak, read and write marathi d. License all construction workers, day laborers etc and enforce marathi speaking requirements. e. License all street vendors only if they speak marathi. f. Finally we must adhere to our own cultural standards and shut down broadcasts if they are offensive to our culture. In other words we need to form a Maharashtra based censor board (only adjucated by maharashtrians) that can deal with the crap that is spewing out of TV g. Finally we need to train all young adults and adults with dissimilar combat tactics in case we need it in the future.
