Not too many comments ???
by Subodh Karode on Mar 19, 2008 06:34 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

This message is clear, to the point and without accusations against any community. Probably that is why so few comments have been posted. Lalu should answer the 2 questions - 1. Why Bihari people whose standard of education is as such poor compared to most others should be given preference in Maharashtra? You don't need brains to qualify for any clerical job in railwaysm banks or anywhere. 2. Even after so many railway ministers from Bihar, why Biharis haven't learned to buy tickets? Why the trains to Bihar are inherently in bad shape?

I am not an idiot, mind your language. I wrote this because there was this thing mentioned about Bihari people coming to Mumbai for railway entrance exam. All this gets very bad press in the media. In Bihar or UP, forget about outsiders, even local people who don't belong to the caste of ruling CM or minister find it hard to get govt largesse. And nobody mentions this on front pages nor so much energy is spent on debating. People accept it as natural. Only when it happens in Maharashtra that the local people are shown in bad light. It is the most cosmopolitan state and still people continue to criticize Maharashtra and its people ... Firstly, it is the leaders of these states who drove these poor people to other states. Now these poor people after settling here want to call their own leaders .. Also remember that due to reorganization of constituencies, lot of seats are going to be available in Mumbai and other big cities and all this is because of that only. Local leaders even in Congress who were not bothered about influx of people and their leaders till now have suddenly woken up to the reality. It was the Congress supporting MNS all the way ... But the fact remains - why these poor settles crave for UP and Bihari leaders - when it is these leaders who were responsible for their plight in the first place? Influx of people may be acceptable but not of their leaders ...
