Sad end to sad story

The death of Scarlette is really sad. It is really shameful that the police tried to cover up the murder. In hindsight, it should also be seen why a 15-year old was left among total strangers, to bask in the company of drug addicts and drunkards. The mother's behaviour is also not totally above board. Of course, she deserves all our empathy and praise to have fought for her daughter in an alien land among hostile forces out to supress the truth. Hats off to her.
One feels really sad for the victim and her family. To stop the slide, the govt and police should ensure that Goa does not turn into a drug haven, where hippie culture and sexual liberation become the order of the day. If the tide cannot be turned now, it can't ever be in the future also. Just hope the policemen who were covering up this crime are dismissed immediately. I have been to Goa myself. I hardly see any quality foreign tourists here. Most are those who would be categorised into the 'salt of the earth' in their own countries. They are just lower class people out to have a cheap holiday, where the easy availability of cheap drugs and drinks in Goa pulls them here.
We are having a real Bollywood potboiler here: tourists, mafia, drugs, sex and what not! Save Goa now before it destroys India.

please we dont want to be a taliban state, we need to develop self control instead of removing freedom from society. sexual liberation is a must, but it comes with responsibility and maturity. it cannot happen in india because we have sexually frustrated religious maniacs all over.

"It can't happen in India".
Give me a break. India is one of the very few countries where such anti-social activities are minimal. Look at the so called liberated countries. 1 in 8 people are gays. People realize their true love even in 50s and dump their entire families. Binge drinking is common even among 8 year olds. Street murders are very common place. And yes, the killers are not terrorists but school going kids inspired by gang culture.

If you call this "liberation" I am better off with so-called religious maniac that has atleast kept Indians in check so far. Be inspired from West but for good reasons. I think we are following West for all BAD ones.

It can't happen as long as kids get proper foundation in childhood and responsibility lies with parents. The sooner current generation realizes it, the better it is for India.
