What will rest of India gain by changing Maharashtra into UP/Bihar?
This question is not meant for UP/Bihar people as they probably consider UP/Bihar to be as advanced as Japan and as clean as Germany etc.
But I would like to know how Punjab or Gujarat or Haryana or Karnataka benefits from turning Maharashtra into Bihar?
I am Maharashtrian and am curious to know why there is this desire to change Maharashtra into Bihar and there is this desire to have Lalu/Mulayam/Mayawati installed in Maharashtra.

tu kahan ka hai ye to nai malum, par itna to yakin ho chala hai ki tu "DIMAG SE PURA PAIDAL HAI" , pata nai yar kis baat ka itna proud hai.. m white u r black, m marathi u non marathi.. m brahmin u r not etc etc.. lagta hai expiry date kareeb hai aapki..

Tera dimag hai nahi isliye tu yeh batey keh raha hai. Main poori duniya ghoom chuka hoon. America mein sey apney Doctors ko bahar ka rasta dikha diya tha jab amrikan doctors badh gaye to, usi tarah UK sey kahi logon ko nikal bahar kiya gaya. Agar hum log kahi dusrey ke ghar mein reh rahe hai to jab wahan ka banda boleyga to sunna padeyga. Khair terey khali khopdi mein baat ghusi ki nahi mein nahi jaanta. Lekin itna jaan ley tere baaton sey tere ghar ki, tere state ki, tere desh ki shaan badhegi ya ghategi. Tu theek rahega, to logon ka dil jiteyga, nahi to pitega.

sab se pehle : muje koi pit sake itna kisi me dum nahi !!!! dusri u r giving examples of countries.. i donno aisa koi rule waha tha ya nai... nationals ko preference etc... but this situation is different... we are in same country.. n shanti se kaun nai rehna chahta.... dimag kharab hai kisika, aur jiska hai unko marooo... wo sale ate hain lambi 2 chorte hain aur jate hain... fir achanak unke jane ke bad warriors paida ho jate hain... bhai jo galat hai wo hai.. na main samjhunga aur na kisi ko samjhaunga.. agar koi kamzor pit ta hai to pite, ghar jake wahan pe sabko kam se kam gali to dega.. yahan rehna hai to ya to kisi ko chere nai aur agar koi ina galti ka cherta hai to usko chore nai...

Common people suffer because they let their emotions run high. Like people here who are abusing leaders from Maharashtra. If common people from Bihar and UP realize that they should improve their financial conditions then they will work and not play politics. Their states will improve, and people will start going back. India will also improve and become a world power if that happens. Think from a broad point of view. Also I have seen Maharashtrians here have welcomed people from UP and Bihar for the past 50 years, and honestly speaking we have been abusing their hospitality. In fact we should develop UP and Bihar and create more job opportunities and welcome even the Marathi people to work over their. Let us work hard to improve India. Do not abuse Marathi people, see they know that I am North Indian but they treat me with respect because I respect them. Meet people as a friend understand their point of view, your life gets enriched, and you become better person.
