Even i see the messages on Rediff and get the idea that anti muslim sentiment is very high. It looks like only a trigger is required for riots to take place. Just imagine what would happen if Modi or Advani were assasinated.
The problem is partly because there is not enough initiative from citizens to further the cause of communal harmony and getting the two communities to interact with each other.
Communal harmony is often taken as appeasement of the minorities. It is not. What is done by parties like the Samajwadi party, the Congress, JD(S)...well these are examples of minority appeasement. The Karnataka CM offers a government job to Haneef who is acquitted by the Aus govt. AP CM YSR offers reservation to the Muslim community. And SP fields candidates in UP who are charged with terror attacks or belong to the underworld with a notorious criminal background on the basis of their religion. Actions like these are greatly in the detriment of the nation.
We need to promote communal harmony on one hand and keep appeasement at bay. One of the problems with the Muslim population is that a huge segment is very backward and narrow minded and believe that they live in India but do not belong here. why they would even support Pakistan openly in cricket matches. I for one dont understand the protests carried out in India by the Muslim population when Saddam Hussain is executed. generalise this mentality as that of all Muslims in INdia. People like these are the reason why SP can boldly field Muslim candidates with criminal anti national records. There is a forward thinking educated Musim population which is not necessarily the majority but they still have a justification to have a grievance against their countrymen because of the constant provocation against them and their religion. Examples of this provocation are abusive posts against Muslims and their prophet as seen on this board and those by political leaders in their public speeches. This is nothing but bullying of the minority population. Result is that there is huge distrust between the Hindus and Muslims. The Muslim minority is not a minor problem. There are 15 crore Muslims in INdia. We cannot progress until we take them along. We should stop living in the past and saying that the Muslims are invaders. They are very much citizens of this country but we need to deal with these problems and the Muslims of this country have a responsibility too in working towards betterment of their community and its integration with India.

I wont go into detail explanation of everything... just read messege below by "AntiIslamist" and reply to him by "sdfsjh" you were talking about majority of Indian muslims narrominded, backward and uneducated with some stupid notions of not belonging here etc. the below wrttien messeges shows what "majority of" "educated", "qaulified", "not-backward" and "financialy and economically resourceful, which are runing government and private machinery of the nation" hindus think and support. now judge for yourself who is causing more problem.
